I think Chicago has the pieces for the trade but the money may be hard to make work. They're one of the few teams that has enough young talent that some is expendible.

HMM, had another thought. There's a lot of talk in Phoenix that Amare isn't fitting in as far as team chemistry goes. He's one of the few young players I wouldn't mind having if I was the Lakers. Amare and maybe one of the Suns draft picks plus a scrub to make the salaries match or within the 75% needed. I would do that if I was both teams.

Steve Nash wouldn't play with Kobe I don't think.

I personally think the 76rs (hometown), bulls (wanna be like jordan) or knicks (big market) are the frontrunners.

He's still under contract, so has to be a trade. The bulls have the most to offer, the sixers and knicks have zilch, so I would suspect Chicago is his most likely choice.

THE KOBE AND LA LAKERS MELTDOWN: Hear Bryant tell HIS side of the story

Oh the drama! The NBA Playoffs are in full swing, but all the attention is on what's happening off the court between Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. It's a True Hollywood story in the making

In a radio interview yesterday, Bryant accused the Lakers of deceiving him about their plans to undergo long-term rebuilding in the post-Shaquille O'Neal era and also bristled at the oft-expressed belief that he forced the Lakers to trade O'Neal.

HEAR for your self as Bryant calls the team's front office "a mess," and repeatedly says that he had "trust issues" with management, issues he isn't certain can ever be resolved, and he leaves open the possibility of a trade.

Yes, it's a funky situation the Lakers and Bryant have gotten themselves into ... and we're thrilled to bring to you. :)

Listen as Bryant broke it down, Tuesday afternoon, with Matt "Money" Smith and Petros Papadakis on LA's AM 570 afternoon sports show called PMS (Petros & Money Show):

probably the best thing that could happen to the Lakers...now they can dump him without bad PR....

As much as I hate the punk I wish somehow Kupchak would be fool enough to do Kobe for T Mac straight up....

At the end of the day, Colby looks like a pussy IMO. I guess what I heard off local ESPN radio is that Kolby thinks someone in the organization has blamed him for the recent lack of success and felt the need to bitch. Whether or not he dead right about what he speaks, he just can't handle the pressure and his timing is horrible. I also think Shaq is slyly full of shit on this one. He's doing a beautiful job of throwing Gerry under the bus (get it). Shaq is still pissed about how the "awesome" Laker organization let him go. I think he's enjoying all of this immensely.:mj07:

Kolby ain't worth what any team would have to unload to get him. He's probably a distant cuz of Hershel Walker.

neither is arod or leborn or shaq for that matter. thats basically the problem with all of sports.

i think kobe is doing this on purpose cause he realizes he can't win alone and the lakers aren't doing anything to help him. he just wants to go to a place with better teammates. he'll be villified by laker fans.

you should really get the bulls kobe jersey soon before they are sold out. he'll probably take a pay cut to show how good a guy he is.

and theres no chance he goes to denver. that would be a complete pr nightmare.

Kobe to Denver? Dicks Sporting Goods couldn't supply enough basketballs for that team, with AI-Melo-Kobe vying for shots each time down the floor. Send him over here to East, and call it what you want, but watching this shit between Detroit-Cleveland has set basketball back a bit.

Not to mention that whole little "rape trial" thing in Colorado.

Igadola, Carney (no not Carney), and the number 12 pick in the draft. Kobe can come back home. Come to another team who can't build shit. Gave up the rights to Brad Daugherty for Roy Hinson. Paul Pierce, TMac, or Dirk sitting like a duck and they take Larry Hughes instead. Tayshun Prince sitting around the 20's and they take John Salmon. Come home Kobe if you want to see a real screwed up organization.
