"the bunker"
only reason i`m posting this is because they`re having a hvywt championship fight between world class wrestler daniel cormier and tony johnson jr...another guy with size and solid wrestling credentials...

i`ve heard of cormier...he`s a blue chip wrestler from okla. st...5'11" 250-ish...

but johnson is apparently an interesting test for cormier.....he was a premiere amateur wrestler in high school(#2 in the country,i believe).....quit apparently because he got some young lady pregnant...

he`s built very similarly to cormier(at least ht and weight wise) and just defeated a very good heavyweight in tony lopez....

cormier has the credentials...but this could be an interesting affair between two very athletic big dudes....

having trouble finding lopez vs johnson....i know lopez was on a 16-0 run in mma...and has since lost close to banger mike kyle..

heres a rbr...

http://www.nottheads.com/digihood-article/new-ktoc-mma-heavyweight-champion-tony-johnson

if theres an interent feed,i`m gonna make time to try and catch this bout... cormier comes with alot of hype...

just a heads up in case anybody is interested in catching the fight...

Odds for the fights:

Daniel Cormier -390
Tony Johnson +300

Bobby Green -150
Daron Cruickshank +120

Quinn Mulhern -260
Levi Stout +200

Trevor Mellen -175
Gerald Lovato +145

Got a lean or two. Will play a few later.

Leans are on Bobby "King" Green and Daniel Cormier and Gerald Lovato as a small dog.

I am going with the following:

PARLAY:
Bobby Green over Cruickshank
Daniel Cormier over Johnson
60 wins 65.

Green has too much experience and power in this one although I will admit I have no idea who Cruickshank is. Just going by what I know and have seen from Green.

Cormier might kill Johnson.

Problem with Lovato is I don't trust him for one second having seen 3 or 4 of his fights.
He was game vs. Inoue but he has no defense and little power.
Lovato will just jab and kick you to death and try foolish things he can't land like superman and spinning back fists.
Lovato does have good stamina and will continue to go forward the entire fight. He does have a few bad losses but has experience.
I know nothing about Trevor Mellen other than he has 7 fights(6-1) and lost 1 to a guy who was 11-12 with 10 submssions. Mellen got subbed.
Might throw something on Lovato against my better judgement.

Man, you guys are f'ing savants when it comes to MMA. :142smilie Whenever I want to confirm my suspicions that I don't know shit about the sport I just login here to see threads about an underground MMA fight in Laos, complete with posted odds and writeups about why the young upstart from Thailand will knock off the veteran from Kiev.

How do you even know about these guys? This stuff can't be on TV, can it? Are you able to find feeds for this stuff on the Net?

Continually impressed by your guys' knowledge of the sport. Mad props to the bruthas. :0008

The under 12 amputee event in Uganda is coming up at the end of the month, I look forward to betting on some dogs.

Well you guys will have to let me know who to bet on in that one, too.

In other news, a few blocks down the street from my house Connor Sullivan stole Dakota Lawrence's bike 3 or 4 days ago, and Lawrence isn't having any of it. Lawrence has the revenge angle going for him, and he's a decently priced dog, but I keep going back to Sullivan's reach advantage and experience of beating down kids his age. I know you guys have scouted this fight... who do you like?

One quick follow up to your comment, and I realize this is going to sound like complete and utter bullshit, but I met one of my new neighbors a couple of weeks ago and not only is he from Uganda, but he said he has "hunted lions with sticks" on many occasions. Yeah, I won't be messing with that dude if his kids plays on my grass. :scared

Connor Sullivan has no cardio......and is "on the juice".

But I'd still go with Connor.

If you ever need to know something about a fighter then the first thing you should do is Youtube him and odds are you will find at least one if not more fights of him.

I know about Gerald Lovato because he has been in KOTC matches before and Shooto which are all easy to watch delayed if not live.

And yes this stuff is usually on HDNET.

Even the 12 and under amputee fights but you have to stay up late because of the time difference.

:142smilie How did I not think of YouTube? Yeah, that *obscure* site YouTube, geez, there couldn't possibly be any fights on there, could there? I think I forget about MMA on YouTube because I know UFC fights can't be shown there. That's your cue to tell us how much you love Dana... :142smilie
