Outright plays (2pts):

Doug Tewell to win 20/1 e.w. @ BetInternet
Will continue to back Tewell at this price and in this form. He has finished in the top-15 in each of his last five starts, winning the Greater Hickory Classic along the way, and has finished high up in the stats for all categories each week apart from driving distance. Add in the fact that he was 2nd last year and he should continue his run of good form for another week.

Bruce Lietzke to win 20/1 e.w. @ BetInternet
Lietzke hasn't won since last year's U.S. Senior Open - this will be his first return to Ohio - but he has threatened to win on a number of occasions since returning from surgery to his troublesome shoulder in March. He has finished outside the top-20 only once since April and has finished 2nd twice. This should be another week when he is at least on the fringes of contention again and if he can mirror his last round played at the TPC at River's Bend (62) en route to finishing 4th in 2002, he might just win again in Ohio.

Gary McCord to win 100/1 e.w. @ Stan James
Had been very tempted to back Weibring, but 16/1 looks very skinny compared to these odds on McCord. Here is a player who was 3rd with one round to play last week, a player that finished 14th in the JELD-WEN Tradition, a Senior Major, the week before and finished 5th after being 1st after two rounds and 2nd after three rounds in his previous start, another Senior Major, the Ford Senior Players Championship. He does have two years' course experience and while it has been five years since he won on Tour, he is clearly still competitive and should be half these odds.

54-hole plays (4pts):

Lonnie Nielsen to beat Ed Dougherty -111 @ Stan James
Last week's 7th place finish was the first time that Dougherty has finished in the top-40 since he returned from injury in June. And even then, he only beat Nielsen by a single shot. Despite the difference in course form, I think Nielsen is playing much better golf and will extend his 6-1-0 h2h lead over Dougherty this week.

Bobby Wadkins to beat Bruce Summerhays -111 @ Stan James
Wadkins has been in good form recently and has finished ahead of Summerhays in each of their last four common events. So also boasting the better course form, he should extend his winning streak to five.

Will post more plays in the morning if Five Dimes offer matchups.

Outrights - FINAL RESULT: 1-2; +0.00pts

Tewell 2nd
Lietzke 55th
McCord 10th

Had very high hopes after the 1st round when McCord was 1st and Tewell 3rd; had high hopes after the 2nd round when McCord was 3rd and Tewell was 1st, but a stone cold putter on payday is probably why McCord hasn't won for five years. Tewell did remain a favourite for the title, but a late bogey and a failure to birdie the par-5 last hole left him one shot short. A promising, though unprofitable week.

Matchups - FINAL RESULT: 1-1-0; -0.44pts

Nielsen/Dougherty WON by 3
Wadkins/Summerhays LOST (Wadkins wd)

Small loss on the matchups. Wadkins withdrew after 29 holes with back spasms. He was ahead of Summerhays at the time, though it probably mattered little as Summerhays stormed to victory in the final round.
