On the course!
ESPN is banging the drum again for more black head coach hiring in the NFL.

The measuring stick is always the fact that 70% of the players are black, and the coaching should reflect that. My question? Why is no one concerned about the disproportionate number of black players? Using "their" metrics, there are far too many blacks playing in the league.

Should we cut back? Water the league down? Of course not. So, why are they expected to do it with coaching?

I might be wrong about this as I'm no expert. But I think Jimmy The Greek was on the right track about why blacks dominate athletics.....

Don't forget women, the number of female players is at absolute zero. This is clear discrimination in my opinion because I personally know a couple dozen women who can cover a receiver better than Atrie Burns.

This needs looked into.

Watching these bowl games today, unteachable is a word that comes to mind.

To see all these stupid 15 yard penalty calls, is embarrassing. Taunting, punching, unreal.

Care to elaborate on the above statement in detail ..........

Bowles with the Jets...10-6 ..First year ...his QB's Ryan Fitzpatrick/Geno Smith/ 2nd year 5-11 his QB's Bryce Petty/Ryan Fitzpatrick/ 3rd year 5-11 his QB's /Josh McCown/Bryce Petty/4th year 4-12 his QB rookie Sam Darnold/Josh McCown.....how he pulled the 10-6 because Fitzpatrick played out of his tree. Now just a glance at the rest of the years shows he struggled and somehow Josh McCown and Bryce Petty just couldn't save the Jets those 4-12 years under their leadership under center. Of course we saw Sam Darnolds
troubles as a Rookie QB...Now all of this is not to say Mr. Bowles firing was not warranted ...By NFL measures it will get you the door. The door is opened by many factors not just his coaching but the lack of talent to work with.

Lewis was kept on 4 years to long. The Cinc. Franchise that is so cheap they ration water. So lets not place all the blame on a guy who keeps a job is told he is fired and then told hey we changed our mind...coach another year........

Joseph wasn't ready for the job just like the man who hired him the GM Elway. The same GM who hasn't found a QB to replace Peyton Manning .The same GM involved in Brock Osweiler fiasco. The same General Manager who gave Case Keenum 36 MILLION for 2 YEARS.

Steve Wilks got a raw deal in Ariz. being let go after a one and done with a Rookie QB despite
getting those players to give their all ...They were short on talent but not on grit.

Hue Jackson got what was coming .........Bad hire to begin with. Then we all know the ownership of Cleveland Browns hasn't exactly been filled with Mensa members has it.

"Discipline has been an issue in this first half"

That's the announcer in the LSU/UCF game.

Three players kicked out on separate plays, non-stop chirping.....just selfish bullshit.

YYZ,

Is it possible that candidates are not hired because of their race?

I question why there isn't a "Rooney- type Rule" in college football. Most are taxpayer funded major colleges. They have to hire minorities and have diversity in everything else. What is the present percentage 5%-10% head coaches?
