UMASS (+5.5) over UVA
UMASS is for real they have the best lng pole in DI and one if not the best attackman in DI. They are going against the buzz saw in UVA that returns all but Christmas from last years team and they have solid long pole defense and a very talented group of middies. Still in lacrosse 5 goals is a lot to spot a team that beat the #2 and #3 teams to get to this stage. Umass has the defense to match the power of UVA's offense. My one concern is the size of UVA defense in comparison to UMASS attackmen. The average is about 6'2, add the 6 foot pole and the reach of UVA might be enough to keep the UMASS attack quiet. Still UMASS keeps it close with solid defense and #25 leading the way on attack.
