Hopkins defense vs Duke's run and gun offense.
Hopkins won in double OT earlier this year. Duke has continued to get better and better all year. Their annilation of Maryland in semis was awesome.
Hopkins is the fundamnetally more sound team, loaded with seniors, great faceoff man in Harrison. Schwartmann was great between the pipes vs UVA but Duke has All America in goal in Fenton.
I erxpect another close game but am swinging towards Duke in the dog role. The emotional win on Saturday may have taken away something from Hopkins and I think Schwartzmann will have a hard time duplicating the game he had vs. UV.
Things to watch for:
1) Duke likes to push the ball from defensive end and get unsettled situations (run and gun). Can Hopkins middies control them between the restraining lines.
2) Will Hopkins slow it down when they have the ball? JHU definately does not to get in a shootout.
3) Faceoffs. JHU hass a big advantage w/ Harrison, Peyser and Braun winning 60%. Over course of season Duke won less then 50%. They won the battle vs. Maryland but this will be a much tougher task.
4) Swartzmann vs Felton. Who comes up big?
