I have been wrong about many things in my life. In fact, just this morning, I bet on Liverpool to beat ManU at Anfield....wrong again.

But, it's time to be right again! Understand this:

There is no way The Steelers cover the 9 against The Jets. Just ain't gonna happen my friends. The reason are numerous, but think about this: Cowher is going to coach very conservatively, just like Edwards always does - this will be a very, very close game that could go either way on a late FG.

Both teams are very good, very even, edge to The Steelers because they are rested and at home, but The Jets may well win this game outright anyway. Even so, understand this:

THERE IS NO WAY THE STEELERS COVER THIS MASSIVE LINE.

Record in the playoffs: 1-1 -$200. Today:

The Jets +9 $4,400 - $4,000

(won't mention this to the wife, she already knows about the Liverpool debacle and she thinks I spend far to much time online with you people!!).

Cheers.

Yea......I am an action junkie and even I wont place my hard earned money on this game.

The Steelers could blow this team out....or they could lose straight up. When these teams played last....both defenses ruled the day. It was 3-0 for the longest time, and then a couple mistakes and Pitt wins by 11. The game will again be decided by mistakes and breaks......I cant put my money on that...good luck today

Yeah, good question. Believe it or not, he is actually the Head Coach ("manager") at Manchester City.

BBC, I saw your comments in another thread re: The Steelers and I know you think they cover, but don't you think this will be a desperate, dour struggle, with the running games dominating, especially for Pitt?

Just seems to be to set up as a very close game indeed.

I lived there when I was a little kid and Liverpoll was in their heyday and were always on Friday Night football (it may have been a different day of the week, i was real young) so Liverpool became my favorite team. I follow their results from afar still and root for Michael Owen when the World Cup comes around (I know he's gone).

I think the Jets and Steelers are similar teams, it's just the Steelers do everything better. There's not a matchup that the Jets have an advantage of. I don't think the game will be in question after the second quarter.

That said, I'm wrong 45% of the time and the Jets have taken more of my money over the last 5 years than any other team. But, I think it will be a blowout.

BBC, you are right, it was Friday Night Football 20 years ago, and Liverpool dominated.

I think both OL's and DL's on both teams are very good, and this is a big equalizer. I think if you put too much emphasis on the Buffalo game you are mixing apples with oranges (do you have that saying in America?). The Bills just had to abandon the run and were completely out of their normal gameplan, i don't think that game is relevant to today.

No doubt, the Steelers are a superb team, and everyone wants to see them progress to play the winner of Indy/NE, but I think the Jets have a legitimate shot here. Yes, the Steelers have very good skill payers, but I don't necessarily agree that Bettis/Staley are better than Martin/Jordan, or that Big Ben (I'm only calling him that because I can't spell his last name!) is better than Pennington.

Hey, who knows, maybe it will come down to who is the worst coach! It's just that 9 points is such a huge amount in a game like this with teams like this.

Cheers.

Jerzey Dudek :sadwave:

I backed United @ 7/4 today because they haven't conceded in over 11 hours now, even with 10 men at the end there, and are always likely to nick a goal.

Now I also like the Jets but how big of a fatcor will fatigue play in this. Thats 2 OT games a long way from home in a row but I'll put my faith in them tonight as they've paid me very well so far this season.

Oh yeah, come on Wasps +7, doubled with the Ospreys this afternoon

Good call, Soko. I really thought The Reds were just right for this game, but boy, Dudek is a tosser. I honestly believe I could have pushed that shot around the post!!

Anyway, what's done is done. Like your Wasps pick, GL with that. I think this Jet team is very tough indeed. I think they dig deep and keep the game close, even win it. I just don't see a blowout, but as so many good cappers like BBC do, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm as wrong as I was this morning!!

The talk radio here in NY is going nuts, one good point though: The Jets have never won in Pittsburgh, and a rookie QB has never won a playoff game.

One of those facts has to change.

Stay warm in Canada, and LETS GO JETS!!!

Cheers.

Adding:

Jets on the ML: BlueSquare.com, 500 Pounds at 10/3

About $1,000 to win $3,330.

I'll be glad when this bloody game starts so I stop being tempted!!

Good luck chaps.

Cheers.

Ok;

Well, so far exactly what I expected. This is going to be a very exciting half of football. The Jets deserve to be level and I think they might have a good half here, but let's see.

Big Ben is having a bad game so far, but he could turn it around. I like the way Chad is playing overall, but these defenses are so good. What a great struggle.
