Yes everyone I live in Los Angeles, but that doesn't mean I am a Lakers fan or a Clippers fan. I am a Dallas Mavericks fan. I just wanted to get that out first.
Throughout my years of watching the Lakers play, I would say that Lakers are one of the greatest basketball franchises in history. There has been times when they have done horribly bad and picked it up the next year. I truly believe that this is one of them.
I don't think the Lakers plain out suck like what everyone is saying. I believe that they just have not found their rhythm playing together. I don't know when it will all come together for them but it will. Then everyone is going to start bashing on another team.
I really did believe that the Lakers had a great chance of winning tonight. Up until the point that Dwight Howard got injured and there was no dominant big man in the middle. Oh well they always lose right? It's the Lakers, that's what they do.
Wrong. These are not the same Lakers at all. How many could you name on the Lakers that are actually Lakers veterans? Only 3 that are currently actively playing. Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, and Ron Artest (Metta World Peace). These 3 veterans who won championship(s) together would not be able to lead this young team by themselves into playoffs. With that being said, of course now everyone will say they have Steve Nash and Dwight Howard, it's an all star team how could they not win? Well, think of how many games these guys have actually played together healthily? They're all carrying on going injuries. With these injuries, (not because they're old) they'll be slow which is why they can not run Mike D'Antoni's offensive scheme he wants to run.
I'll just leave it at... Mike D'Antoni better change his system, or Lakers' fans will soon start chanting fire D'Antoni at the Staples Center, like what Clippers' fans did to Mike Dunleavy.
You guys can bash if you want, but this is my point of view.
