Texas st -15 over Lamar ** Under 131.5 ****
Going to the game in a few hours I don't think Texas St has covered at home -14 or -15 points in years unless its vs. Our Lady of the lake . And speaking of " our Lady of the Lake " that was
Lamar's last win .Lamar can't score,shoot Fg%,and rebound and play any type of defense. they give up 77 pts a game and teams shoot almost 47% from the field. They give up 40% from the 3 on defense. they are 2-8 and one of those wins was to " Our Lady of the Lake".
Texas state plays solid defense and like always only avgs 66 points on offense. They are ranked 9th in the country on D. But this team has no inside scoring presence but they work the ball around and get good open shots. There one inside scorer Smalls is 6;9 but wants to be a 2 guard,. Harrell the 5'8 pt gd is outstanding distributing the ball and penetrating and has a nice out side shot when open. Asbery is a free agent who flys all over the court abd has a nice jumper. Ceasar and Martin can rebound but are no threat scoring. Bobcats will have problems with teams that have size but Lamar doesn't have that threat.
I hate giving up 15 points to a defensive team 1st but think Lamar will have trouble scoring Lamar top scorer is Buster and he's 5'10 and Bobcat gds are quick so I can see Buster having problems scoring. Lamars top scorers are all under 6'5 so the post defense that the Bobcats have shouldn't come into play. " think its an under game but I hate taking the under and sitting in row 3 watching it live.. Small play for Texas St and a little more on the under.
My daughter had twins last night . Everyone is doing fine . Donovan comes in at 5 pounds 6 ounces and his brother William David at 5'5. My daughter says they will be boxers since they have been sparring each other the past 2 months in her stomach. I said maybe you should of named named Rocky and Apollo... No one liked that idea.. good luck tonite
