I see Spurs -15.5 tomorrow and was wondering if this is the largest number ever for a playoff game? I have a hard time believing anything has been higher and figured some stat guy like IE might know the answer.

I googled largest playoff point spread and it did say largest point spread regular season NBA was 22.5 in 2008 for Celtics vs Heat and the Celtics covered 88-62. I also know Golden State was close to that number at home vs Sixers recently and didn't cover. However, for a playoff game, this has to be a record, correct? I know Grizzlies are banged up, but my offshore also has Spurs 135-1 odds to win the series!
Can't wait to lay 27K for 200 on Spurs! Kidding of course!

you saw it with the Rockets and Mavs yesterday. Spurs will cover that easy. Pop wants them to get into the playoff mindset and start playing the lockdown D right away and executing on all cylinders. My call would be something like 106-81 Final....

I'm not an NBA Guru by far, but I would think that the 1st half wager would be stronger. Agree on the fact that Pop wants them to start firing on all cylinders, yet he is also all about rest, and if they have an 18 pt lead half way thru the 4th, he won't have the starting 5 finish the game.......Can anyone say backdoor?

1st half and 1st q certainly the stronger plays but it'll likely be a 25 pt lead in the 4th and even the second unit can hang with the decimated GRIZ....Can you say Patty Mills for 3?

Grizzlies are really awful. Vince Carter is pretty much their leader at this point and he's 39 and likely retiring soon. Well, he was their best player tonight. Randolph is also old and can't jump 10 inches for a vertical anymore while Tony Allen is hardly a kid either as Okie State went to the Final 4 with him in 2004 I believe. A bunch of 30 somethings veterans and a bunch of no-names. Spurs might just roll them by 20 every game as Grizzlies are done with Conley & Gasol out, their best players. They would have maybe won a game max with them healthy, but this is a sweep for sure!

At least Western Conference Semifinals should be exciting with Clippers vs. Warriors and Thunder vs Spurs. I actually think both the semifinal dogs will fight and both Clippers & Thunder have tons of talent to hang with both the superior teams. I really think the Thunder have a great shot vs Spurs. Not so sure about Clippers, but who knows:0003. Clippers seem to be meshing well right now and the Warriors are so dependent on the trey while Clippers own the superior players at the 4 & 5 positions IMHO.

I don't see any team in the 1st round in the Western Conference winning more than 1 game, but Portland could win 2 max vs Clippers, but likely 4-1 sounds right. Rockets, Mavericks, and Grizzlies likely swept, but Dallas & Rockets might steal a game, but not very likely. Semis will be fun as Thunder have size and talent and Clippers same thing.
