Las Vegas Classic Games?

read somewhere that these games are being played w/ experimental rules..i.e, wider free throw lane and jump ball rather than alternate posession.

The Classic
The eight teams are divided into two four-team pools. Each team will play the other three teams in its pool in the first three rounds. Saturday's final-round games will be determined by each team's record in pool play with the fourth-place teams playing for seventh place, the third-place teams meeting for fifth place, the second-place teams playing for third place and the first-place teams battling for the title.

Experimental Rules In Effect
The Las Vegas Classic is using three experimental rules for all tournament games:

The free throw/three-second lane will be NBA width (16 feet instead of the normal college width of 12 feet).
No free throws will be awarded to the offended team for a foul committed by a member of the team in control of the ball. Instead, the offended team will be awarded possession.
Jump balls will be at center court for all situations in which the alternate possession arrow is normally used.

This is also the tournament that was originally scheduled to be played at the Paris casino but was moved to a high school after the Purdue coach and others complained.

going to all of them,and it wasnot moved because a coach complained it was moved because the ncaa said in late july that the teams playing in this one and the thanksgiving one at the mgm couldnot play because it was taking place where there was gambling on site. and the hs isnot that small 4200 students bigger then some dII&III schools can seat 2650 with the biggest hs in season tourny out here 80 teams this weekend and unlv tourny with stanford,byu texas and unlv lot of hoops out here starting today.
