I guess that is the last of the "Old Hotel and Casinos", pretty much all "new stuff" now.





Actually check that......El Cortez and Golden Nugget have been around forever, so never mind, there are still some "old ones" left.

stayed at the trop my first visit to vegas in 2000. it was dirt cheap but the rooms were clean.

i bet 3 baseball games one night and went 3-0. when i collected the next day, i thought they screwed up and gave me way too much cash. it was the first time i'd ever bet sports at a casino... i forgot that they had to pay the winnings AND my original bet.

we were hanging out at the adults-only pool one day. it was just 4 of us (including one incredibly uptight guy) and a group of 3 young women. the pool was surrounded by a hedge. a kitten comes strolling out of the hedge and walks over to us. a couple of us were petting it. when the uptight guy walked over to pet it, it ran back into the hedge. one of the women, who was quite overweight, was standing in the pool and watched this whole thing. when the kitten bolted, she yelled "PUSSY REPELLENT!!!"

3 of us thought it was hilarious.

i'd only bet with a bookie before. so, of course, never laid out my money in advance. if i won a $50 bet, i got $50, not $105.
