Gentlemen, first let me say that its been a pleasure being with you all this year. I hope to see everyone back here next year. For you cats that will continue to play on (basketball / hockey / baseball / etc.), good luck to you. On to the final game of the season...
This is the game everyone has been waiting for. We finally have a clear cut #1/#2 team playing. There will be some history made tonight no matter who wins. Both teams are extremely talented, but I feel that one is outmatched on one side of the ball. I believe Texas to be too much of a 1 man show. The entire offense rides on the shoulders of Vince Young. I've followed Texas pretty close this year. They are great at beating up on bad teams. I will give them credit for the Ohio St. win. It was a great game but could have gone either way with 1 pass. To me, I feel like the Longhorns are already satisfied with what they have accomplished this year. They beat Michigan in the last bowl, Ohio St. @ The Horseshoe and finally got a W in the Red River Shootout. With all the footage of Young dancing around, it seems to me that this team will not be focused for this game.
We all know what USC is bringing to the table. I feel that there offense is as close to and NFL team as a college team is gonna get. Their defense is just strong enough to keep Vince Young in check. If Texas gives USC any short field, this game will be over in the blink of an eye. If I was Texas, I would pound the ball all night and try to keep the USC offense off the field. Only way Texas wins this game is if Vince Young has his best game ever and the Longhorn defense comes up with some huge plays. Could it happen? Sure... but I just don't see it happening tonight.
With a game like this, we can throw stats and trends around all day. We can speculate this and that, but no one really knows what is gonna happen. I guess this is why the game is played...
Best of luck everyone! :mj14:
Biggest play for me ever.
USC -7 (50 Units)
