not sure how many of you watched this game played in Albuquerque last night @ The Pit (site of Jim Valvano's NCAA last second win)...
the crowd was rocking the house and Utah St was handled from start to finish..
While these teams are not the best in the country, they're pretty damn good and competitive.
there are some significant home-court advantages (and others not so much), and UNM @ home is one of them.. Utah St @ home is another..
Mountain West has some depth, and you won't see the top conference-type teams looking to travel and play at these teams home courts..
BEST Home Courts are:
*UNM.. last night they could've played w/about ANY team at home..
*Utah St
*San Diego St.. in a rebuilding year, still play GREAT team defense which keeps them in every game
*Colo St.. haven't seen em yet, but their record speaks for itself
Next are:
*Nevada (lost a LOT of talent from LYrs team, still pretty good!)
*Boise (although they're having a slightly "down year")
*UNLV is a MUCH improved team this season, got robbed last Sat v Utah St.. beat Boise last night @ Boise.. rare! Athletic w/solid coaching.. coming together!
