A great case of motivation vs non motivation as Oregon's pre-season goal was to win the BIG DANCE..not the NIT, while George Mason knows the importance of the NIT for their school and their future. A good showing in the NIT helps them recruit, and let's face it, these guys are sky high for this one. Oregon on the other hand played un-inspired ball against Colorado in the first game of the NIT while George Mason's crowd stormed the court after beating Tennessee in their opening game and beat a very good Austin Peay team 2 days later showing that we need not fear a let down. George Mason is a master of a lost art in college hoops--DEFENSE, and they should be able to slow down this Oregon team who really would rather outscore their opponents to win game than hold em down. This game is IN Oregon and the Ducks have had success in the past, thus the HUGE spread here, but don't be too surprised to see an outright winner here with the underdog !!
