My lease will expire in September. I want to buy the car. Not interested in another lease.

My question, the car is in perfect condition. Clean as a whistle, no dings, etc. Am I better off going over my mileage allowance to get a better price at the time.

Also not sure how to negotiate for the best price on this.

Any advice appreciated.

Wasn't the buyout price determined at the beginning of the lease? I leased one time quite a few years ago and I knew from the day I signed the lease what the buyout was going to be no matter what. If I went over the amount of miles I had to pay extra for that.

I will have to check the contract. Thanks.

Anyone here ever get involved in a lease and loved it? The way I figure it, is that you are spending quite a bit of money so that you can drive around a brand new car. There might be more to it than that, but I am unaware of it.

My problem was the mileage. I bought extra. But still have to keep an eye on it. We are a two hour drive to the casinos and my wifes family is 100 miles away. My daughter moved about 45 minutes away.

So, here I am with two cars. A great new car, leased, and a shit box that's mine. Whenever we wanted to go someplace far we have to take the shit box.

I can see a lease as a second car assuming the car you own is new.

When I leased I went over the allowed mileage by about 20,000 miles and had to pay like 30 cents a mile extra if I ended the lease. Well, it was better for me to buy the damn thing at that point. It was not a good deal for me with the amount of miles I drove. I'll never lease again even though I only drive about 10,000 miles a year now. Leasing is a good way to get a nice car with nothing down and a low payment and not have to worry about repairs. IF you don't drive a lot of miles.

Leased my last 3 cars-brought the one I drive now. I only put 7,000 a year on so good deals for me. No money up front, if a problem with car its their probem, and a new car every 3 years

Leasing is good but if your logging too many miles get a good used car many i seen local delar ships only 1 year old top end GMC's Ford SUV Toyata hundai Hondas etc very nice priced like maybe only $15,000 for top end models great discounts getting true market value.

Mines was worth lil more than $10500 dealer discount got it down to $9600 total price with tire n wheel warranty $11,000 taxes tags etc hey 5 yr old car only had 50 k on it 1 owner

now after cleaning up credit report i can go to new bnk refinance with way lower interest and every thing can be handled at new bank

i'l save about $5000 in interest alone the one i have now santander is ripping me off at 18 %
