Both my cars got jacked last night, they ripped out the ignition on the steering columns. Any advice on how much this could run me?

Dont worry about the other topic. It's medieval.

does this mean you don't have comprehensive insurance on them? if so, it may not cost you a dime.

i've got 1000 deductible on one of the vehicles,
no comp on the other.

Home & Prop deduct is 500.

I'm taking it in the shorts any way i go... each car is claimed separately anyway, so they even if i had comp on the other one, it would be at the 1000 line. I dont think it will be over 1000 per car to get the ignition cylnider put back in...

and then the stuff on the inside that got swiped... that counts agains tthe 500 home deductible... christ...I'm gonna end up financing this whole damn thing.

and the insurance man wont belive that I had a 8 team winning parley ticket in the glove box either!

Thanks agent,

Probly wont need it, my mom is an agent for american family, already talked with her this morning when i found out about it all.
Made my list of stuff and looking at replacement costs now.

I am just bitter that I have to pony up the deductible on the auto AND the property.
ugh!

While on the topic---Just want can a person do if he catches thieves without being in more trouble than the thieves.
Maybe if Loop is around he might have some input.

you cant shoot no thief over your property , you have to be in fear of your life. If you have a gun you can hold them until the cops get there. If they have a gun, be prepared to shoot or die.

Maybe better just to watch them from a upstairs window and then as they are leaving pop a cap in their ass. Put them in the back of the truck and go bury them with lime.

Just a few ideas.

Scott,

I have always considered you a bit brighter than average, but not quite brilliant, I may have to upgrade my thoughts of you.

DTB,

That was the essence of my post before editing it... wondering about what qualifies as "premeditated" if I were to happen to see the young kid return to the scene tonite.

I figure a few donkey punches and a thumb in the ass and i should not be in any legal trouble.

ah well... its 945 now, another hour and I am heading out to go camping in the bushes in the front yard.

the bait is put in place, i will let you all know how my fishing trip goes in the morning!

Follow them home and burn down their house. It's always hard to prove arson and even harder to convict unless caught in the act. Have an alibi like your mom or dad or sister lined up ahead of time. Use old fashion gas, and a lighter and a rag on a stick. Light it up then run. Wear gloves and a mask.

Damn I better shut up in case I want to do that one day.

Thanks Loop --appreciate it. Was hoping you were around.
My reasoning is had gun stolen from car at home couple years back--have since replaced with another. So if someone is in my car good possibilty they have gun. On flip side I'd say 90% chance thieves are kids and wouldn't presume a kid would use gun on me---but still catch 22.--hate to wait till shot to shoot back--maybe best to take gun out of car when home for the evening.
