Nick Foles is NOT making the super bowl! From a TV ratings perspective that would by far be the WORST Super Bowl in history I would think Eagles with Nick Foles vs Patriots with Tom Brady. That just sounds ridiculous who the hell would watch that and take it seriously? Vikings being the first home team to host a SB is by far the best story line right now and they would absolutely give the Patriots a game on their turf.


Minnesota ML vs Philly absolutely has to be the way to go.....just has to

I was.thinking the same the year baltimore beat giants was bad. vikes were in champ.game then too.and that team sucked

The problem is that the game is played on the field...and just so happens the NFC will be played in South Philadelphia. I will once again be riding the money line on the Eagles. Lovveeee it!! And I think it makes a GREAT storyline. This is a team with no real superstar, never won a Super Bowl and once upon a time had open workouts for civilians of one that made the team and a movie. Maybe I'm just biased having been an eagles fan for more than half of my life.

Thanks for the replies fellas....always good to get feedback. I'll be backing the Vikings ML though.....this team is on a mission to get to the promise land this season. Keenum is much better than Foles and less mistake prone. You know both teams will stack the box making each QB try and win the game I'll take Keenum! Philly offense has been anemic since Foles was forced to take over. I've said all along the no Wentz factor will catch up with them...they squeaked by Atlanta not getting by Minnesota. Enjoy the game!!

This is a Pats vs Eagles SB...

Why?
1) Markets, Vikes and Jags have two of the smaller markets, so lets rule out the Jags, will be paying close attention to refs in PATS vs JAGS game, no matter what transpires PATS win.
2) Vikes, 1st home team to host SB, maybe there is a reason for that, all the revenue that will be lost due to folks not staying weekend, spending $$ etc.
3) Expanding on # 2, having rich Pats and Eagles fans shelling out thousands for hotels, tixs etc...
4) Network advertising, ratings etc. NFL already hurting due to "knee" issue, if they now have Vikes vs Jags in SB, literally no one will watch, advertisers will drive down prices, big money loser. ***most advertisers have probably already paid but payments could be based on who is playing, speculation on my part***
5) Couch NFL fans don't want it....who cares about Vikes vs Jags in LA, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta...if Pats vs Eagles you will get all east coast watching....

Just my very cynical thoughts on this, i hope i am wrong, and i am rooting for Vikes vs Jags.

I believe your opinions are valid but why did large market NO loose to Minnesota, I feel they want the 1st time home team in SB. WWF couldn't have planned a better missed tackle?

Honestly, idk what their market is but if the theory is to draw interest for tv, then a Brees/Brady match up fairs better than any current possible, and Minnesota businesses, who knows what they want but the more big money spenders coming to town the better, doesn't bode well for home team SB
