Absolutely love this time of year as college football and college basketball are my strongest to cap.
Feel very strong on Colorado State over Virginia and here's why:
Just take a look at the line and one is certainly thinking that the Cavs laying 2.5 is a great value. . . another reason would be the difference in conferences. . . ACC is certainly much stronger (on paper and in reality) than the Mountain West. Looks to me like the books are begging for money on the Cavs.
In the beginning of the year, I feel that ATS records from previous years are ESPECIALLY useful because it allows us to see how teams play compared to how they are anticipated to play at the beginning of the year when there are so many question marks. CSU does extremely well in their season openers other than Colorado:
7 and 3 straight up and ATS
Virginia has played a little under par for their home openers going 4 and 10 ATS. While Virginia should improve from last year, they are still in a rebuilding mode. With Van Pelt at QB for the Rams, I feel they're up for a solid year and a postseason bowl. Virginia should struggle to win. . . especially when their conference season begins.
I believe CSU wins by 10.
Gonna keep a record for college football. . . playing CSU on the ML +115. . . so 2 units to win 2.3
