Julio Rodriguez 200 mm contract. Maybe the biggest bust and waste in mlb history.

it's impressive how many guys show a ton of talent, get that big contract, and then shit the bed. you'd think teams would wake up and stop signing guys to huge contracts. at least before these guys prove it over 5 or 6 years. but, as long as fans keep going to games and paying ridiculous prices, they have money to burn.

How about constantly giving huge contracts to veterans in their twilight? Huge number of them get hurt, and are paid to not play.

Like Kris Bryant. 24 mm a year. Barely plays half the season every year. What a waste.

absolutely. very rarely do long-term deals work out for anyone but the player. and, of course, his agent. now, i'm not saying we should go back to the days when these guys had to work a 2nd job in the offseason. but 10s of millions per year to play baseball is insane. as long as we fans keep buying tickets and paying higher and higher rates for cable & streaming packages... they have no incentive to rein in those contracts.

Yea. I’m done ever going to a live event. They do have me by the balls with the streaming services. But if I ever quit playing sports. That will go in blink of an eye also.

Another busted vet. Jack said Kimbrel making 13 mm this year. lol. That’s a slap in the face to every hard working American. 😂

I stopped going to live events a few years ago. Mostly because of the assholes in the stands, but getting priced out, too. I gave up my Green Bay Packer tickets quite a while back. Too many obnoxious fat drunks at the games, and their husbands weren't any better.

With the availability of cheap 60", 80", and larger screens now, no reason to attend a game.

yeah, i hardly ever attend major sporting events any more. i went to NYY at Boston a couple months ago, because i'd always wanted to watch that rivalry at Fenway. may have been 10 years since my last game. $150/ticket.

i've only been to one NFL game and have zero desire to go to another one. so much better watching at home. especially with the red zone channel. now, a big college game... that's different. incredible atmosphere. i'd do that again.
