Liking Va now that is't clicked up to +3 1/2....understand VTech beats Va every year, understand it's Beamer's last game, understand that a win gets VTech bowl eligible....but what about Va? They have a coach who may save his job if he wins (and maybe not), they have much the superior QB and they've been a point spread winning machine this year for the most part...not that that matters...but where I see Va Tech's strength, stopping the wide open running option type QBs like NC's....that's not how Va plays...they throw the ball and they have QB who knows how to find receivers...Va Tech's pass defense is very solid as well...but you don't beat Va Tech by out "athletic" them..think Va's receivers both wide and backs will have a good day, could see a few pass interference calls too....Va I think is good for 24 points....I like the extra 1/2 point in a FG goals...I could see a 3 point Va Tech win. Don't think this is a blow out whatsoever.
I'll bite on Auburn + 14 1/2....they have a very solid defense with the same kind of athletic talent as Alabama...think they'll control both running and passing game of the Tide..lots of stalled drives...offensively Auburn will try to run..and with not much success...I could see a 20-14 or 23-17 type game..but 14 1/2 is too many IMO.
Under 55 1/2 in Rutgers/Terps game---Terps playing a new QB and doubt they'll open things up or put him at risk too much....Rutgers offense not so great either....two lousy teams....Rutgers 31, Terps 17
BC - 2 1/2 over Syracuse....two bad teams but someone will win...BC's Defense the strongest unit on either side...think that is enough to win on the road.. BC 27 Syr 17.
