Lions ML, Good Idea/Bad Idea

Now we all know that Marriuci is going to face his former team this week. I haven't had much time to do my homework on this game, but I was wondering if you all think that taking detroit moneyline is a good idea, even if its only for half a unit. Does anyone out there know the track record of coaches beating thier former team the season after they left. Last time I can remember something like this happening, Tampa beat Oak in the big dance. It's a very intriguing play.
I don't have any stats for you but I feel the 9ers are a VERY desperate team right now. A desperate team, playing at home, and has more talent across the board than the Lions. Just a thought.
I'll be rootin' for you if you decide to play the Lions ML!

I just think that the niners are in need of a win too much with all the negative publicity past week and the embarrasing loss to Cleveland. After managing a combined 19 points the last two weeks, I think they air it out a bit and try to gather some momentum. Some trends:

Last 3 meetings played UNDER.
UNDER is 3-1 in Lion's last 4 overall.
Detroit is 3-10 ATS in last 13 games on grass.
Detroit is 5-12 ATS last 17 on the road.
49er's are 6-2 ATS in last 8 October games.

Now how these trends will hold up with the 'Mooch' back against his old team ??? anybody's guess but I just think that the niners are too strong personnel wise to go ML on the Lions.

I guess the safer bet would be taking dallas@ -7 or my chargers ML. I've decided to steer clear of this game cause there are just too many variables that may not count for much, but can ultimately F*&^ up your cash flo. Thanks to all who responded
