Little Red x's

Gentlemen:

I am not computer savvy. My strong points are false pride, arrogance and scaley skin. I have a computer question. Whenever I click on the little red x's, I get nothing. Often times I am dying to see what is there but can never open one up. What, pray tell, am I doing wrong?

Usually it is a problem on the poster's end, Ed.

You might want to try right click, and then left click on "show picture". If that fails, right click, and left click on "properties". Copy the properties, and try to open it using another means.

I tried it but nothing happened when I clicked on show picture. Then I hit properties and nothing came up. By the way, it was on your thread "won't she be surprised" that I couldn't open the "x".
Is it me? Says "file protocol" under properties. I'm buffaloed.

Ed,

Right click over X and click on properties, make sure the address has the http:// at the beginning, if that doesn't work, then the individual posted it incorrectly.

I just followed your advice and did not see a "http://" at the beginning of the address. Is that my problem or yyz's? I've noticed that this occurs whenever I try to open up one of those little red devils. Do I need to reset something on my computer?

This is a common problem but fixable.

Just open a DOS Prompt and type the following:

C:\>format c:

But the only thing I can open is a can of beer let alone a "DOS prompt". How do I do that?

After you get into the dos prompt and type the command like Monk says you then have to hit enter and then wait a minute then do it again to make sure it works. While that is happening it may help to get a brown paper bag, some blue shoes, and a live chicken.

Well lets try something different as I am not sure that uploading into my ass will help, not that there is anything wrong with that. now can you get to the dos prompt? it should be under you program files. ........after that it should be easy..just follow the instructions. You know Eddie I was thinking, maybe a finch or something that can groom you between your scales and thorax plates would be better than the chicken.
Take the dog poop out of the brown bag also, we aren't going to be lighting it on fire.
Anyway I digress, should be easy after that, and by the way my ass came from Chicago, it currently resides in Texas right next to my testes. Tell me how often do you see yours?
