Since I am degenerate enough to risk all my winnings for the last three weeks tonight, I thought I might as well stay up and watch the games (blowing off work tomorrow in the process). It is an illness of sorts, so a sick day will be justified.

This thread is for whinging, chortling, and otherwise commenting on games in progress.

Good luck to all!

Looked like Tomasson's advance was clean, when he was trying to put the Danes up 2-0. Looked like a dodgy call to me.

Looked very close to me... would have liked to have seen 2-0.

I am a bit concerned about the heat affecting Denmark in the second half. Already have 3.5 units on Denmark +115... considering adding 1 unit on Draw +350 (in running) as a saver.

Any opinions?

My amateur opinion:
I couldn't back any Senegal or over sentiment. Just haven't seen enough of a deft touch from Senegal in the box.

That one goal vs France is looking more and more like an illusion. The way that play developed was so fortunate. Hits two French, Senegal's lone attacker is sliding on his rear and comes right to his cocked leg.

Fair enough, Mr. Actually I also have Denmark +700 to win Group A (1/2 unit), so I'm *really* rooting for them to win this one. By my math they'd need to draw or beat France to assure a group win. Of course if they can win by 2 or 3 today they may not need to draw France...

That makes sense, Chucky. I think I will hold off for a while at least... perhaps if it goes to 700 or 800 late in the match and still 1-0. I have this vision of another 'fluky' goal... finally saw the highlight of US's 2nd the other night... off the back of the defender from 10 yards away, what fortune for them.

Bugger. On the other side of the coin, I'd be even more pissed if Senegal win outright, losing both.

Still plenty of time. Up the Danes.

:(

To be fair Senegal did have more chances in the 2nd half. Their goal was very well scored. However not only do 3.5 units go wasting but Denmark now will have to scratch and claw to qualify. Really hoping that Uruguay can at least draw Senegal.

What a bunch of idiots these Cams are, they score a goal and instead of bringing the ball right back to the spot they celebrate and lose 2 minutes of time that they need for scoring more goals, what a bunch of idiotas.

Lost two units on the game, but could have been much, much worse. Anyone else think that last shot (88th minute or so) the Cameroon player was tripped while shooting? A penalty certainly seemed in order.

At least they didn't pull a Germany and give up the equalizer with 10 seconds left, screwing me out of a lot of money.

Missed the over but in the end am just grateful Cameroon won. They didn't seem to know how to break a weak opposition down. I really feel they lacked the width that Germany showed against Saudi and thus were unable to take advantage of their aerial superiority.

Zidane will not start.
