Just called my local and took Mia, OH -12 and under 57. He says I hope you hit both of them. He's getting hammered with Marshall and the over, fwiw!:D

Thanks mw! I find myself taking the side and total on these week games for a 100 each way. Hoping for atleast a split and hopefully a double winner. I'd say 60% of the time I split and 25% of the time it's a double loser, and maybe 15% of the time a double winner. I wonder do others bet like this, I know it's somewhat dangerous.

i think you could definitely turn a profit if you stuck to just siding with your man on "just sides" or "just totals"

this has nothing to do with you, but ive always found it puzzling how some people need to bet the side and total of each game they play. when you do that consistently, its like youre betting against yourself (i.e. well if so and so scores, its great for my side bet but terrible for my under bet). to me, its hard enough to win to cover a spread period. to have to do it within a certain point range (i.e well, i can lay 8 points but if my team wins 20-7 win, but if its 27-17 i lose). its just real tough.

i saw you say that you "hope to at least split".

i see a lot of guys say this, but i gotta ask why?
in this hobby, splitting is losing. youre going in HOPING for a negative result, even if its a small one.

theres no doubt in my mind if you spoke with book and sided with him consistently on either:

1) the side he needed money on
2) the total he needed money on
3) or whichever side/total he needed most

i think you could really do well.

to try and side with him on both is tough, especially with the juice. remember, youre paying the juice, he's not (when he splits so to speak)

by the way, great job on the miami game tonight. nice work buddy

Thanks guys! Gman I really do not want a split, but these damn week games for the most part are so unpredictable, that I find myself betting both ways. Because even though splitting is losing it's better losing a little juice than losing one way. I know it is a messed up way to look at it, but for instance, let's just say I took Marshall tonight for 100. O.K. that means I would have lost 110. But, had I took Marshall and the under, I would have lost only 10. Now that's a 100 difference, and a helluva lot better for me. And again the only reason I do this is because when there is only 1 game, the books seem to have it nailed most of the time? But I tell ya those double losers are the one's that really hurt.
