One of the better war movies that I have seen in quite some time. Is a story of Sadness and loss as well as bravery and humanity. Dispels the stereo types of Afghan People vs Taliban. Great tribute in the end. I would rate this movie 8 out of 10 stars :0008

Agreed! Also this movie is very intense with some realistic battle scenes that at times are very brutal. The XD theatre we were in was packed on Friday and the audience gave a ceremonious applause at the end of the movie.

2 thumbs up :0074

During the last UFC PPV, Goldie interviewed the man whose story the movie is based on and the director, Peter Berg.
Very humble guy and turns out Peter Berg is a big MMA fan.
Will see this one soon, thanks for the reviews....:toast:

Saw it Friday night.

The cinematography was fine and dandy, but they butchered the story and left me feeling a bit ho hum about it.

It was motivating and energizing to watch, but it would have been better if they had called it something other than Lone Survivor. I went in with expectations on the plot and events that would unfold and it was just way too much fiction.

They tried to develop the characters, but fell short in showing them as anything other than motivated fighting guys that were really good and killing bad guys.
