Outright plays (2 units):
Allen Doyle to win 12/1 e.w. @ Bet365 and Stan James
After six top-10 finishes in his previous eight events, Doyle won the FleetBoston Classic two weeks ago. It was his first win for two years. In that form and against a weaker-than-usual field, he can certainly win again. Had they remained at Meadow Brook, he would definitely fancy his chances - he had finished in the top-3 on all four previous visits - but he should still relish this event even though it has moved to the Red Course at Eisenhower Park.
Des Smyth to win 20/1 e.w. @ William Hill
Smyth should not be disadvantaged from the move to a new course as he had been too young to play when they teed off at Meadow Brook last year. He comes into this event in consistent form with nine top-20 finishes in his last eleven starts and he did close with a 66 on Sunday to finish 7th in the 3M Championship. More generally available at 12/1, he will surely win a title very soon.
Tom Jenkins to win 28/1 e.w. @ Stan James and Paddy Power
Jenkins has already done so this year - Bruno's Memorial Classic - and he is every bit as consistent. With ten top-10 finishes on Tour this season, he ranks 2nd behind Doyle in that category. He has yet to earn even a place return as a selection in the last two weeks, but these odds look too big for this quality of player.
