Two words... Pat Beverly.

He'll be fine. He's just gonna have a rough first year while every point guard in the league takes their turn getting their shots in on him.

D how many so called superstars come out of college expecting to be great NBA players? Some every year. It doesnt happen much anymore. Ball is average at best. He will NEVER be a superstar in the NBA.

Yea, I don't like all the hype around the kid either and I agree that his dad is a total jackass, but he is betting on his kid's career to be successful with the BB brand and, in a way, you have to respect that a little bit. Either way, I don't think it's fair to make proclamations about this kid NEVER being a star when he's just played his first game in the NBA at AGE 19 against the league's toughest PG defender in Beverly who is a total bulldog and made a point of showing up and pushing him around last night. I never said he would be a superstar, but who knows, he could be pretty good for a long time in this league. He might turn out to be a bust. One thing is for sure, it's WAY to early to say anything for sure.

:iagree:

The kid may have some good games and could turn out to be average at best. I have nothing against him but his father is a nut job. He was on first take or undisputed a couple months back saying how he could have schooled Jordan and some other greats because they were too little. Dude is a phony with a capital P and put a hex on his kids career. It would have been a little different if he waited and his kid killed in the NBA for a month or two but to talk all that smack with nothing to back it up is a straight bitch move

It's only "one game" when it benefits your argument.

He's a kid playing against grown ass men. It takes time. Especially when the physical traits aren't there yet.

John Wall is going to absolutely torch him in LA live on ESPN on Weds night. Let's hope he has an off game tonight in Denver so we can get a scoring prop somewhere in the 24-26 range on him.

So now what...

4 games in he's shooting 34% and had one decent game on 30 shots.

The kid was average at best @ UCLA. His younger brother is better. Lonzo will NEVER be a star in the NBA.

He was all hype coming in so his daddy could try and milk the league and shoe companies. They got paid and thats all he was aiming for.

Andddddd we're done here :mj07::mj07::mj07::mj07:

19 year old kid who's 6'6 190lbs playing against grown ass men and holding his own and clearly improving. 4 games into the season and you'd think it's comical the guy could even make a D-League roster.

I don't know why I waste my energy on you. You proved a long time ago you don't know much about basketball.

ps, John Wall finished tonights game 1-10, Wizards ought to cut him.
