Here is what I need:

The best company to purchase from, preferably online. (Someone here hopefulyy has used them!)

The name of the descramblers that are the best?

And as always looking for the best possible prices.

Don't leave me hanging on this one boys!

From my research...

From my research...

There are no digital cable descramblers as we speak. That's at least everything I have read, so I am looking for Analog, I believe that goes up to 125 channels.

Thanks, I look forward to your reply!

Dogface, getting any sleep:shrug: You can get them on E-bay, once there type in cable tv.

Make sure you get one that is compatible w/your cable system.

and comes w/sound correction for the adult channels;) . Heard the cool box was a good oneJMO.

Good Luck

Thanks skulldog...

Thanks skulldog...

The little one is just now deciding he likes to cry after being fed. Can we get a compatible schedule please! Love him to death though! He'll be 3 weeks tomorrow, he can already hold up his head, and last night he held his own bottle. (He's breastfeed, but we store mom's milk for my experience!)

BTW: Did you get the BBQ Apron?

Anyone else with info, I don't mind E-bay, I just don't want to wait for the auction to end.

What does everyone here use, if anyone does use a descrambler.

I have Time Warner Cable. They don't offer any Pay Per View or Pay channels on the analog system anymore. In order to get those you have to have the digital box. They are still working with the descrambling the digital box. You can find an analog box at cableboxx.com

There is supposed to be a digital descrammbler coming out in December of this year. Then again I was told it was coming out in February. So who really knows.

If you know how to program hex. I would say get a dish system and a card programmer. They will zap it about every 3 months. So then you'll have to clean the card and reprogram it. Or if you prefer and can get your hands on a H card you can set that one up and you have to connect a 486 minimum and they will never be able to mess up your card. But who wants to have a dedicated computer hooked up to their dish system. Also, they're alot of web sites out there that can give you the codes for the H/HU cards. The ones that are normally free get zapped really quick. If you want a code that last 3 months it will cost you around a dime. At that price you'd have to go in the business of ditribution of the cards just to recover your cost. Good Luck i whatever you decide.

I believe the card is the way to go for now. Even though it did get zapped a few days after the Lewis/Tyson fight, but was fine for a good 7 months. Also nice to have someone close to you, who can get the card reprogrammed right away for very minimal:D

ssiproop,

they have that same deal where i'm moving to in october. no pay per view or pay channels unless you have the digital box.

what happens if you get an analog box anyway? will i only get the regular channels?

since my house is being built in the woods, it's very unlikely that i'll be able to use any dish system like i have been using.

am i stuck on waiting for a fix for digital cable? and, they'll probably really cost out the ass when they first come out, huh?

Even with the analog box you will not be able to get any more channels than are offered over the analog line.
Unfortunately you'll be stuck waiting for the digital box. The price when/if they come out should be between 300-500. Not bad if they can give a 1 year gurantee with it. If you want someone to program a H/HU card it will cost 500 for a 1 year gurantee.

The video is compressed for digital in what I believe/have read for a 1:10 ratio. Meaning on the digitial they can offer 10 times as many channels, so on an analog signal of 125 channels they can give up to 1250 channels through digital compression.

They are having a problem with the Digital boxes of keeping them stealth. The digital boxes that the cable companies use have 2 way communication. So they can constantly monitor what is going on in your TV.

Crossing fingers hoping it will come out soon.

Idiot.........

Idiot.........

I'm not sure what you all are talking about. Are you talking about not paying for cable TV by hooking up this descrambling box?

Nope. Talking about getting a better picture for the channels that you are already paying for. Because of the low quality signal that you receive from your satellite/cable company. It is sometimes needed to have equipment that can properly fix the signal that they are sending you to get the best possible viewing resolution.
