i just wanted to start this thread b/c i have some questions about capping. well here is the thing, i have been an avid sports fan since a young age and especially college sports. I consider myslef to be moderately knowledgeable about a lot of college teams in b-ball and football. I had a lot of success in College football this year for a first year capper, and i even got to know about the teams i had never even heard of in Division I. But what i have found is that I am having a lot more trouble handicapping college hoops than football. I was wondering if college b-ball is just tougher, or if anyone can offer any strateges that could make a better capper in hoops. Luckily i have not actually bet a lot of the picks which i have wanted to, becuase i wanted sit back and see how my picks were before i started betting as much as i did in football. Any help or Comments would be greatly appreicated. Thanks a lot...

Basketball is an everyday thing unlike football where you have Sun. - Fri. to capp all the games. A few things I try to do:

Play smaller wagers(Like I said, b-ball everyday betting vs. f-ball which is mainly weekends)
Do not over-analyze(First thought usually the best way to go)
READ THIS FORUM EVERYDAY(Some of the best cappers and nicest people on the net found here at MadJack's)

Basketball not any harder than other sports. You have your streaks, good and bad, you just have to hang in there. An old gambler once told me that there is only one thing better than betting and winning, and that is betting and losing. Hope this helps and as always, GLTA!!!
