i dont get in here often, but i see some gold hidden behind those rocks:

montreal +180

thurmans last 3

18.1 innings pitched, 9 earned runs, 1-1

astacio's last 3

17.3 inning pitched, 13 earned runs, 1-1

i dont't have to dig any deeper. give me montreal without question at +180.

tampa bay + 210

sturtze, basically a relief pitcher, had a long relief on 5/2, 4 inn. pitched,2hits,no runs. last outing, on 5/8, was his first start of the season, 5 inn. pitched, 5 hits 3 runs. now making his second start of the season, maybe a little better performance this time. TRENDS,TRENDS.

burba

an impressive 5-1 record, era of 5.01. a very steady record, especially his era. expect 6-7 innings, about 3-4 er. quite obviously his bullpen has been able to preserve his wins.

i see only a slight advantage in favor of clev, aside from the home advantage, and that, together with the possibility of a nice longer performance by sturtze, makes a +210 excellent value.

2 picks.

looks like a nice day for dogs

i don't have anything to back me up except my opinion about this.

sunday is ALWAYS good for betting dogs just like sunday and monday night football are good dog shots too.

i think it's because the next day is still 'settle up' day with the books and people are scrambling to get even for the week. people REALLY tend to bet faves when in the hole trying to win back their money because the faves 'look' good. BUT, that ain't usually the case.

so, since people bet the faves more often in these situations, i think you get more, much more, value taking the dogs in these spots.

i could be wrong. that's just some stuff that is in my mind (which COULD be burned out too)

good luck!

what you said was very evident for me last year. i believe it has to do more with the hot summer days, where even a pitcher in top shape can fall like a fly. there were sundays were the top 4 or 5 dogs won. it happened at least once, maybe twice.

i seem to remember that it was toward the end of the sunday contest, in late july/august when they really popped. remember, they are mostly day games on sunday.

definitely most satisfying, doing a little research and having a good reason for the picks. i also got l.a. and if philly can pull a miracle vs. randy (fat chance) it would be a sweep.
i avoided playing against el duque, thinking how great the managing staff is at pulling him out after x number of pitches, and you see what happened: they left him there too long and it led to the defeat.

just off hand i saw mama looks like she had a real good mother's day as well. i usually don't follow other contestants, but since i had written her a congrat message on mothers day, i was kind of looking for her performance.

back next sunday with hopefully a couple more winners.
