no need to cap totals in nba any more this season unless books up the number by 5 to 7 points, just like nfl as points are being scored at record pace. tonight 12 games (24 teams played) and only 4 totals were over 200. totals hit at 9 wins 3 loses which I will take every day, as I am usually like 3 wins 6 losses each day. 17 teams surpassed the 100 point mark and no one scored under 90.
seems like this is happening in college baskets also with the new rules and look for the totals to be higher from here out this season. will the totals go back to what they were last year don't know but the nfl has surely not gone back to last years numbers. I can remember last year at least 25 totals in nfl spreads were under 40 (several under 35) and maybe 10 this year.
I may be wrong as my reasoning and stats are being done with jack daniels and diet coke.
