Just wondering what your thoughts are in this one...I'm not concerned the least with a cover, just leaving Chapel Hill with a 3 point win will suit me fine. I really feel that we have a much better team overall although their big play capabilities scare me somewhat considering our defense has been kinda porous at times. I just think that TA will be able to run at will on them which will open it up enough for Philip to work his magic. I'm thinking 38-20...duplicating 2 years ago wouldn't be bad!! Good luck with your plays...

well

well

im not loophole, but im a packer! and seriously, as unbiased as i can think, i really think its at least a 2 td win for the pack....will be a boatload of points scored....most of which will be by ta mclendon and rivers spreading the ball all around the field to our great corps of recievers....not a worry in the world.....Pack rolls!

i haven't seen anything that would lead me to believe anything other than the wolfpack winning and covering this game. as i have indicated in other comments around the forum, i took carolina's win at asu more of a reflection on asu's defense than any other factor. tarheels ain't scoring 40 on the wolfpack. i see nc state as having a better offense, better defense, better special teams, and better coaching than the tarheels. i would be surprised to see an upset here, but then this game has produced a lot of surprises in the past.

game update. . .

t a mclendon will play with a special cast fitted over the wrist that received minor surgery to place a screw into a fractured bone; it shouldn't be an issue. sr lb dantonio bunette and center jed paulsen will also play and start. burnette sat ou the mass game with a broken thumb and paulsen had been out since he sprained an anteror cruciate ligament against the chop-blocking navy team. this pretty much brings the wolfpack up to full strength for the carolina game.

for carolina, defensive end will chapman is still being held out of practice because of a sprained big toe he suffered in the asu game. this is pretty big for carolina because starting defensive end isaac mooring has two broken boned in his right hand, didn't make the trip to asu and hasn't practiced at all this week. color him doubtful.

pregame hype has already started. sr d-back terrence holt (torry's brother) has shaved his head, others likely to follow. also, bunting is still pretty miffed at amato for stealing prized recruit a j davis last year, the top-rated d back in the country (he didn't qualify academically). the midfield pregame handshake should be interesting.

another update:

it appears that de isaac mooring will be ready to return on saturday - he practiced at full speed on tuesday. the other de, will chapman, still has not practiced because of the toe injury. tailback andre' williams is still battling a back problem and did not practice on tuesday.
