hey redsfann how goes it out in the heartland old friend? (little known fact that ol' loophole hails from st joe, missura, just up the road). yes, ecu over was my big bet of the day. a friend of mine is a big ecu booster and i usually go to a game or two a year with him, so i have a decent feel for the pirates. the can usually score the ball but couldn't stop me and you and nine of our friends. amazing that next year it will be twenty years that we've been hanging out a jack's place. we should tell that old f""ker that calls for an event of some kind.

I hit it hard when I saw your comment in whatever thread it was. Thanks for the insight on that game and the pirates in general.
I do think you have your map upside down however.
It?s south for me here in the cornfields of Iowa to get to the charming town of st Joe, Missouri, so I think you?d need to say just down the road from me rather than up the road. :mj07:
And yes, a 20 year shindig someplace next year seems to be a logical response to all of us crazy degenerate gamblers that have hung our hats here at Jacks joint for that long... :toast:

I thought they did that a few years ago?
I?m sure there aren?t that many of us for the whole 20 years, but the numbers go way up if you went back 15 years.

Just saw this thread. I didn't get an email. Old School has a thread in general about join dates. 20 years is a long time. Many children have grown and many grand parents have been created.

How about a long weekend in October in Vegas?
In Thursday, back out Sunday or Monday if you want to stay in town for the pro football card.
Baseball playoffs, college and pro football and early season NHL to wager on as well as decent temps for golf for those who?d like to play.

i could go for that.

And I?m a dumbass and completely forgot my wife has a shutdown at her plant from July- late October next year. And with youngsters still at home and her working 100 hour weeks during this, my availability won?t be until probably mid-November

Another fishing trip down your way could be a fun thing, Steve. Anybody up for something like that? We might even be able to get old school up for something like that. Just a thought.

sure jack i could help set something up in morehead city down on the crystal coast or for a truly unique experience i know some local charters out on ocracoke island, the scene of blackbeard's last stand. beautiful natural barrier island with a great laid back atmosphere, but it's only accessible by ferry, boat or private aircraft. state ferry runs several times a day though from both north and south.
