#2 Florida at #11 Auburn

It doesn?t get any easier for #2 Florida this week as they visit No. 11 Auburn, a team coming off a very surprising loss at home to Arkansas. SBG Global reports it is no surprise that the public is all over the Gators.
This game was supposed to be a matchup of top 5 teams, but no more. Auburn (5-1, 3-1) fell nine spots in the rankings and its defense, which was allowing 8.2 points per game, gave up season highs in points and yards (366). ''They're disappointed we didn't play nearly as good as we could have,'' Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville said. ''That's what's frustrating. We've got to try to make sure they get over that as quickly as possible. That's our job the next couple of days.''
Florida is looking for their first 7-0 start since beginning 10-0 in 1996, when they won the school's only national championship. ''We're on cloud nine,'' Florida defensive tackle Ray McDonald said. ''But we know we can't be on cloud nine too long because we've got Auburn next week.''
Florida is a 1 point favorite with a total of 38.5 at SBG Global.
The Gators are halfway through a four-game stretch that was supposed to make or break their season as they faced LSU, Alabama, Auburn this week, and Georgia on the 28th. ''All season, we've been looking at the opponent we play that week and concentrating on just them,'' linebacker Brandon Siler said. ''That is what got us here and we aren't changing that and thinking ahead now. I'd be disappointed if I had to talk to the guys on the team about looking ahead, but I don't have to. I think that is a sign of a mature team.''
The Gators have won eight straight dating to last season and rank second in the nation in scoring defense (9.5 points) and 14th in total defense (259.7 yards per game). Florida has won eight of the past nine meetings with the Tigers, with the only defeat a 23-20 loss at Jordan-Hare Stadium in 2001. Since 2000, Auburn is 38-7 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. This is the first meeting between these schools since a 30-23 home victory for Florida in 2002. Auburn leads the all-time series 40-38-2.

One year ago at Ann Arbor, Chad Henne hit Mario Manningham from 10 yards out with no time left as Michigan handed Penn State their only loss of the year, 27-25. That pass capped an eight-play, 53-yard drive in the last 53 seconds. According to SBG Global, there is a surprising amount of wagers being placed on this game ? all on Michigan.
Henne won't have Manningham on the field this time as he tries to help Michigan keep Penn State from getting revenge in Happy Valley. The sophomore receiver underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Tuesday after injuring his knee in Michigan's 31-13 win over Michigan State last week. Manningham leads the conference with 527 yards and nine touchdowns, and has caught eight of Henne's 11 TD passes in the last four games.
Michigan is a 6 point favorite with a total of 41 at SBG Global.
The Wolverines have won seven straight over Penn State. The Wolverines have outscored opponents 201-85 this season after knocking off the Spartans on Saturday. Big Ten rushing leader Mike Hart ran for 122 yards on 22 carries and the Michigan rush defense, which entered the game tops in the nation, allowed only 60 yards. ''We do have confidence that we can run the football,'' said Michigan coach Lloyd Carr. ''We feel like we can run it even when they have a lot of guys stacked up there.''
Penn State will look to Anthony Morelli as they try to beat Michigan. The junior is coming off a strong game, going 20-for-34 for 281 yards and two touchdowns in last week's 28-27 overtime win over Minnesota. ''I'm very impressed with this Penn State team,'' Michigan coach Lloyd Carr said. ''We have to go back on the road and play our best game.''
Penn State will look to extend their winning streak at Beaver Stadium to 12 games as they try to end their skid against Michigan. The Wolverines lead the series 8-3, and have won the last three matchups at State College. ''Michigan,'' Penn State coach Joe Paterno said, ''may be the best team in the conference.''
