This marbled-mouth little leprechan said on ESPN today that Notre Dame will meet Florida for the National Championship this year.

I realize the Irish have an easy schedule this year, but come on Lou.

I think Lou said Notre Dame was going to win 11 games last year.:shrug:

I can not believe ESPN has this guy on the air.

That's probably going to be true with the possible exception of at Pitt

As a huge ND fan, I wish L. Holtz would not make such statements on the air. Most Domers think we are still a year away from competing with USC, Florida, etc... Yes, we have talent at the skill positions this year, but our dline is still really young and lacks depth.

ESPN is all about the ratings and is more of an entertainment comodity. L. Holtz and M. May play good cop/bad cop with ND... Both make outlandish statements regarding ND and do it for ratings.

ND has a favorable schedule this year, but still needs to be able to stop the run and run the ball consistently on offense to make some real noise. I'm looking at two losses if they develop a decent run game... If not, then three losses is a real probability.
