Ya know I saw this team play Fairfield in Bpt and they have some pretty good size and a few who can shoot the 3...Bobby Bossman can score and these kids dont get pushed around....... They lost by 12 .........St Petes just beat em by 25 but it was a 3 point game at the half..............and I just think that their D is good enough to hold Iona in the 70s.........Value seems to be with Loyola after last at St Pete.........we'll see

I like Canisius tonight ......God knows why ........I don't
Ffld won last year in Bpt 72 to 54.......they have won 3 straight and Deng Gai is improving each game.
Canisius has lost 6 straight but has played a tough sched...ND, Cuse etc..............SOLID D......Mallory at 47% from 3
Like the Griffs chances at home in this one.

Yes........Laying the wooooooooood with CT.. They won this one by 30 + last year and I expect that they will come to play tonight.
Frosh ...Hilton at 6 10 will start in place of Mike hayes and I'll venture that Ct will match size with Va T.........I'm looking for CT to be up by 10 at the half and run past Va T in half 2

Others:
Purdue - 3.5 seems to be a favorite
LaSalle + 16.5
Rutgers + 13.5
W. Va + 11.5

In retrospect........

In retrospect........

Loyola turned out to be a value play tonight and will get a few more plays from me if they continue to benefit from large wood. Seems to be a team thats easy to hate but can hold their own (if not win one or two) at this level.

Regarding Connecticut............I'll not wager so much as a hot damn penny on this team again this year until I see evidence that they can put together .........at least a half of consistent play
They Won for me tonight ..........but played like cellar dwellers for 27 minutes. They will NOT be a moneymaker in the Big East...depending on the big 'spurt" to win games......... jimmy C "Defense is for 40 minutes"...Team does not have it yet despite the record. This is a work in progress.

Pittsburgh........are they assassains or what? Into hostile territory and shoot somewhere near 60% for the game and from 3 point land............Defense is awesome and mistakes are few.

Canisius........Still do not know why I played em? Just the intuition thing, home, and a few good players......WRONG!..........Fairfield is on the roll now and will be a MAAC force.......Pulled away to an 18 point lead and held on for a 6 point W.......Wanna see the box score on this one .......

gotta go........GL

bear- thanks for the recap. those are actually the sort of things that make us better cappers imo. its always good to look back at the end of the night and assess our plays objectively. it kind of serves a dual purpose:

1) for the person posting, it allows him to see where he was "right" in his capping and where he missed the boat

2) it also helps those of us who didnt bet the game know how it played out. sometimes, we can use little tidbits toward future games. for example- did one team get dominated inside or on the glass, or maybe one team was in a zone from 3-pt land. or maybe one team just completely blew a big lead.

objective assessments are great capping tools after a night of gms.

thx for your thoughts and gl with future plays
