Outright plays (1.5pts):

Rosie Jones to win 14/1 e.w. @ Paddy Power
Jones has almost become a regular feature on this page this year and while she has not won, she has been a regular contender and did finish 2nd in the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship earlier this month. But her low price is based on her excellent course form. She won tihs event back-to-back in 1996-97 and has finished in the top-10 in eleven of the last thirteen years here! Looking for at least a place finish from her this week.

Cristie Kerr to win 33/1 e.w. @ Stan James
Kerr has won this year and with four top-6 finishes in eight starts this year, it is surprising that she is available at these odds - there is no Se Ri Pak or Grace Park in the field. Her course form is respectable enough with a top-15 finish last year, so this does look rather like a rick.

Shi Hyun Ahn to win 50/1 e.w. @ SkyBet and Paddy Power
Not as much of an unexpected price for Ahn, but still value with a very consistent player. She won the Nine Bridges Classic in South Korea last year to earn her exemption on this Tour and she started as though she going to win several times this year. Her form did dip a little after opening with two top-5 finishes, but her last three finishes have been 11th, 14th and 16th, all on new courses for her and all after poor opening rounds. So with a decent start, she could certainly be a top-5 player again.

Matchup plays (1.5pts unless stated):

Rachel Teske to beat Laura Diaz -120 @ SkyBet
Diaz may be a former winner of this event (2002), but she is in desperately poor form, missing four of seven cuts this season. It is no surprise that she has failed to finish ahead of Teske on any occasion this year.

Jung Yeon Lee to beat Sherri Steinhauer -114 @ Expekt [3pts]
Easy to oppose Steinhauer who admitted to being very surprised that she played well last week. Her win was her first top-10 finish since July 2002! There has to be a huge letdown this week, just as much as there has been an overreaction from the books in terms of who they have paired her with. Lee has just only managed three top-10 finishes this season, but has been 2nd on two occasions. These would never be paired other than after last week's extraordinary result.

Wendy Ward to beat Sherri Steinhauer -115 @ Five Dimes
Not quite as strong here, but Ward does still have two top-10 finishes to her name this season and did finish 2nd two weeks ago in her last outing. She also finished 9th last year, while Steinhauer was missing the cut.

Maybe she's still in then, hopefully the wd was for trivial reasons...33 a silly price and was the first bet I had this week!

Have been suckered in to Kuehne at 80, as she was much improved off the tee last week.

Also managed to get some aussie dollars on a very generous 25/1 for Rosie Jones early in the week.

Also toying with adding Koch and Green as they really like it round here.

Nice odds on Jones--I missed them--Looks like SIA is the next book taking place only option down:(
They have an E/W selection instead. I made wager just to see and screen showed same as place only but when you look in statement you have 2 wagers with win added also.

Will go initially with Shi Hyun Ahn to place @ 5 Dimes 10/1 and see what develops in running at Cbet which is becoming one of my fav books.

---but look for it to be matter of time there also.
Quite amazing on minority sports they cut opportunities and in major sports they can't throw up enough props.

Outrights - Final update: 1-1; +3.75pts

Jones 14th
Kerr dns
Ahn 4th

One bad round took Jones out of the running for a place finish, while a bogey on the final hole meant that Ahn dropped back into a three-way tie for 4th place and a share of the place payout. Still profitable enough though to bring the outrights back into profit for the season.

Matchups - Final update: 1-2; -3.72pts

Teske/Diaz LOST by 6
Lee/Steinhauer LOST by 3
Ward/Steinhauer WON by 6

Bit of a blemish on an otherwise great year with LPGA matchups. Just couldn't see Steinhauer finishing in the top-20 and paid the price with the main play.
