Outright plays (1.5 units):

Carin Koch to win 25/1 e.w. @ Centrebet
It seems to have escaped everyone's attention that there have been a large number of withdrawals from this week's field. Noteworthy among the withdrawals are Mi Hyun Kim, Hee-Won Han and Wendy Doolan. All would have been considered this week and all remain quoted on every list I have seen! Even still, Jones and Diaz are single-figure odds and so cannot be supported, so instead the overly generous odds from Centrebet seem very enticing. I don't like siding with defending champions, particularly as it was her last win, but she has been in good form this year and finished 5th last week. Against a ravaged field, I'll take those odds for an in-form defending champion.

Janice Moodie to win 30/1 e.w. @ Centrebet
Another rule of golf betting broken here ... siding with the previous week's winner, especially one who has only won only before on the LPGA Tour. But the dominant manner in which she won last week, suggests that there may not be too much of a let-down this week. Decent course form, a very poor quality opposition and good odds. Hard to resist!

Kelli Kuehne to win 33/1 e.w. @ William Hill
Finally, a classical selection! Kuehne has a great record on this course: she won in 1999 and finished 2nd in 2000. Her form has been good at times - 4th in the Office Depot Championship last month and 6th in the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship three weeks ago - and she is capable of winning this event again. Again, hard to resist these odds with this field.

Laura Diaz 1EW + 1WIN 8/1 Stan James
Another event where the bigger names Sorenstam, Webb, Inkster, etc are having a week off. Diaz has to be fancied on her maiden win and two 3rd places this year against better quality opposition. Finished 8th here last year which was one of her 12 top 10 places in the 2001 season.

Carin Koch 1EW 25/1 Stan James
Took this last year and this seems to be the time of year for repeat wins... Nelson 2, Tiger 3, Monty 3. Finished 5th last week. Worth a dabble at this price as only 14/1 Ladbrokes 16/1 Hills & Surrey

Didn't know about the withdrawals... but sounds good to me
Can Rosie Jones have the week off as well? :D

I usually follow the expert advice given here when it comes to women's golf but this week I couldn't resist some of Centrebet's early prices. Kuehne at 60/1 and Tschetter at 100/1 looked good to me so I had a small interest.

Good prices Milpalm...wish I'd got them!

Always one of my fav events....backed Kuehne here a few years ago.

Carin Koch 25/1 Stan James five places...a good run out last week must put her in a strong position to defend

Kelli Kuehne 33/1 Hills ...past winner, although as some have mentioned a few pounds heavier now! Beginning to get a bit fed up with following her, but can't desert her this week.

Tammie Green 100/1 SJ...Yet to recapture her pre-pregnancy form, but this is her fav venue, and 100/1 is not to be sniffed at!

Final update: 0-3; -4.50 units

Koch 9th
Moodie 81st
Kuehne 40th

All three were off the pace from the 1st round and though Koch had the lowest weekend score of the field, she had left herself too much to do.
