no. not until LSU's qb situation is resolved. it has a huge impact on the line, IMO
2/06 5:12am QB JaMarcus Russell Shoulder is "?".
The Advocate reports HC Miles gave no update as to the condition of quarterback JaMarcus Russell, who left the third quarter of Saturday's game with a left (non-throwing) shoulder injury that has been widely reported as a shoulder separation. "Nothing new," Miles said. "We hope he'll come to health before we're ready to play." If Russell can't go, backup Matt Flynn is expected to start. Miles has said he does not anticipate taking the redshirt off freshman Ryan Perrilloux, and may use former high school quarterbacks Skyler Green and Chris Jackson behind Flynn if needed.
on a side note, did Perrilloux make the right decision to snub Texas and go to LSU? he might have started at Texas next year if VY opts for the NFL...now he's stuck behind a Sophomore QB (Russell) and will have to continually outperfrom him to crack the starting lineup...or have to rotate. maybe Miles gives Perrilloux the starting job next year regardless, but it's hard to bench Russell after the year he had.....if he had honored his committment to texas he could have been THE MAN at texas like VY is....i guess he might be happy he's a little closer to home, but overall I think he made a mistake.
