I am back with my head bowed, humbled, with my tail between my legs.

Does anyone have any opinions on this fight?

I think Stieglitz should win. He has fought in far better company.
He seems to have trouble with punchers but Wilaschek could not crack an egg.

that was my first instinct Wee

but two notes I have so far on this one:

1. Universum has Wilaschek and are trying to build him

2. The money so far has gone on Wilaschek (Steiglitz opened -270 and is now -245)

sometimes early money is smart money

but I agree with you....you seem to have to punch to beat Steiglitz....Berrio and Andrade...two tough bangers....

I could see a bad decision here for Wilaschek if it goes 12

the over is -390....so they expect the distance on this one...

hmmmmmmm :00x32

Google Translator is your friend:

"The boxing world has tomorrow another explosive duel between two German world-class boxers before. The Cologne ungeschlagene Lukas Wilaschek (22-0-0, including 7 by Ko) from the spotlight boxing team meets on 9 December in the leisure arena in Soelden, Austria Magdeburg against Robert Stieglitz (32-2-0, including 20 by Ko) from the stall to SES. The winner will acquire the belt of the International Association WBC and puts a possible championship fight a bit closer. The eagerly awaited duel in Super Middleweight EURO SPORTS transmits live from 21.00 clock.

Lukas Wilaschek: "I will reflect on what I can be good. On my good technique and my good eye. Then the already well-fold. I'm very confident. I have done extensive studies and video'm so perfectly groomed. The preparation ran perfectly. Just as it should be. Finally, my past is the important and difficult struggle. "On December 30 Luke wants his longtime girlfriend to marry Isabella and her thus an early wedding gift.

Recently, the coach of world champion Michael Timm trained Wilaschek against Frenchman Laurent Goury on 27 September in Hamburg with a unanimous points victory convincing. Michael Timm: "Luke Stieglitz is the first international test. The needs and it will exist. Robert is a good, very experienced man with a championship fight and a World Championship Eliminator on the hump. "The Wilaschek as 27 years old Stieglitz lost in March 2007, the fight against Alejandro Berrio for the IBF crown and also the World Cup elimination fight IBF against Librado Andrade, a year later.

That the struggle in Soelden leisure arena to about 1400 meters above zero increases, makes Wilaschek not worry. The Cologne: "The conditions are the same for both." For Robert Stieglitz is the last chance to fight on another World Cup title fight. Magdeburg: "I burn for a title fight. Finally, I have the chance again, me in the whole world forward to place. Lukas Wilaschek is certainly an excellent boxer, but the WBC International belt he can not win against me. That will be a tough duel. I'm motivated to the hair tips and programmed to victory. "

Lukas Wilaschek +140
Robert Stieglitz -180

Over 9.5 -350
Under 9.5 +250

Line is getting closer....guess people are willing to take a chance on the undefeated fighter....I'm not so sure without seeing the guy....

I have decided to stay away.
I am not going to chase on fighters I don't really know.

I will wait for the UFC lines instead.

yep, that makes 3

I'm out as well

I will say Steiglitz wins

but without seeing the other kid, I can't put my money on this...trying to be more selective here

We got UFC Wednesday night and some great opportunities this weekend

I will wait for odds on Holt-Hopkins and Toney-Oquendo

I have 500 on stieglitz at -200. Wilaschek is the prototyp of the protected fighter. I saw him really struggle against parttime model and boxer Nasir.
Alot of close dec against ordinary opposition and no power to speak of.
When i saw him in that fight i made a note to watch out when he fights somebody alive and kicking.
I mean his last three opponets have a combined record of 25 wins and 53 losses and he is not blowing them away neither.
Stieglitz is a strong and solid guy who can punch,
not world class but still a good european fighter.

The location and promotion is to be considered but Universum wants to clear out his stable, so its put up or shut up and i believe Wilaschek will fail this test.

But after de la Hoya vs Manny I am alittle bit gunshy.

My suggest is to put at least a little bit on Stieglitz inside at plus 450 also. Because Wilaschek has a good chance to go down in this one.
thuough -180 straight is very good also.

Good luck, especially to Paul.

excellent stuff Tony...much appreciated post

couldn't find any footage of this cat....but your info is better!

Steiglitz has been pushed back to -275 for me, so that's too high. No play.

I am not offered a KO prop, however the over-under is 9.5 at +215

Wilaschek has never been 12...he has been 10 rounds 3 times (one of them a narrow MD against a guy with 6 losses)

the gap in comp here sticks out like a sore thumb

OK...i'll take a SMALL stab on the Under 9.5

thanks Tony

Let's go Steiglitz....smoke this fool !

Its on Eurosport at 12 pm

After Tony's post I researched again and almost pulled the trigger on Steiglitz.

My books just don't have the odds that you guys can get.
For me -250 is the best I can get and +225 on Steiglitz ITD.

Every bone in my body is telling me he is going to win as Wilaschek has struggled against really shitty competition and he has never been 12 rounds.

I am staying away but I would not be surprised to see a Steiglitz victory after round 10.

Good luck Tony!!! :toast:
