A buddy of mine is going to Vegas next week and is staying at the Luxor. He asked me about the sportsbook and I have never been in it. Any info regarding it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If he likes high tech, whiz bang, flashy lights sportsbooks, he will be SORELY disappointed.

Personally I like the Luxor book. All the horse and sports info is handwritten on sliding white boards and updated by hand. Its fairly small but definitely has an old-Vegas feel to it.

I was there a few months ago. It?s very small; however they have small monitors at the tables where you sit so you can follow your games. Granted there aren?t many tables to sit at. Mandalay?s book is just a short walk away tho. You can get there through a walkway that links both casinos. I recommend using the walkway vs. the tram. Much faster. If you just want to watch a game with a ?no frills?, you can do that at the Luxor?.if there?s room for ya.
