MAAC conference games are all on Friday and Sundays. So many of the student athletes can study during the week. Many of the MAAC schools are Catholic institutions so they care about their student athletes .All these other conferences only care about their athletes except the Armed Forces academies, Ivy conf and of course Notre Dame and any other Jesuit schools. ND is run by the Holy Cross Brothers and Fordham the Jesuits. Manhattan is run by the Christian brothers. Since our Pope is a Jesuit according to Ken Pom the Jesuits schools are covering the ATS by almost double. So be careful when you make a play. Shooting % offense ,turn over to assist ratio all count but what order are these schools representing. Also the officials. What religion are they? Many of you are laughing but Pope Francis has draftking and Fan duel in the vatican ..

Saints are 5-0 and are led by McCollum But he is listed as questionable for tonite If anyone has a update please post. He hurt his back and took a flight to Lourdes in France . If the holy water he is in cures his back Saints win and cover.But Siena is a Franciscan school Will pass because I think he might not play .
Canisius -3.5 over Marist **
Both teams are bad. Both can'r score both are in the 300's on offense. Griffs are 3-11 and Foxes 5-9. Think they both give up and avg more on defense then offense . Both cannot shoot 3's and both can't shoot Ft's Griffs just beat St Pete and Manhattan and Foxes can't win on the road.
Like Canisius a little better and Foxes have to take that long drive on the NY State Thruway upstate.
Manhattan +7 over Mt St Mary **
Mary is a new comer in the MAAC. They just lost to Marist 63-56. If you only scored 56 pts vs Marist your in trouble. But Jaspers are 1-4 on the road and have lost 7 of last 10. THese 2 teams are a combined 11-20 . Think the number is too high tonite And because Mt St Mary is a new school I have no idea of its catholic affiliation. If its a Jesuit school will pass.
Iona -15.5 over Fairfield ***
Iona in New Rochelle are 5-0 at home With Pitino last year who is doing time in Purgatory for 2 years won the MAAC and the tournament last yr and went to the big dance 25-8. Last week Quinnipic upset them 81-58. It was such an upset that Quinnipiac cancelled all classes . But Pitino this week has team re=focued in a bounce back game and I said " I pity who Iona has next. Stags on the road are 0-5 soon to be 0-6 and think Jenkins and Nelly will have big games. But Clayton there solid gd is questionable tonight. But Pitino has a replacement just waiting. Pitino has won over 800 games and in 2 years at Iona over 44. He is waiting for a big time school to give him a call and after this year he is gone. His sentence was 2 yrs in purgatory . Whats great about being Catholic is that we can commit any crime including murder and all we have to do is go to confession and say" Bless me father for I have sinned " And we are forgiven The priest gives us a penance of maybe 3 "hail marys" and 3 "our fathers " And if you are a former alter boy and say in latin " se libros nos a malo" deliver us from evil you knocked 7 years off someone doing time in Purgatory . I can never understand why everyone in the world is not Catholic.. But why aren't we Catholics rich and why do I Lose games . There is something else that we call a mystery .
