YTD 73-73 -16.1

Youngstown State -2 (120) (8 units)

My first big play of the year. I've been on the Pengs the last 3 or 4 out and they have not disappointed. They are very quietly improving every time they hit the floor and catch the Ramblers of a big loss at Cleve St. I will go to the well again with Youngstown.

Buffalo +4 (1 unit)

The Bulls have won their last two taking a tourney crown. Generous number here vs. BG who has been very inconsistant. Small play because BG can play very well at times.

Miami -8 (2 units)

The Redhawks still look to have the best team in the Mac even without PG Hayes. The young Zips will be very good at times and very bad at times but they rely heavily on shooting a high % from beyond the arc and will struggle vs. good defensive teams. Miami is a very good defensive team.

NIU -1' (1 unit)

Toledo really sucks, nice small number for the Huskies to cover at home. Two bad teams, just a small play on the home floor.

Should have a couple of total plays a bit later

I was close to playing Buffalo but I needed +4.5 and missed it earlier. I'm hoping it creeps back up.

Its a tough call. I've been watching BG and at times I think that they may be turning the corner and can contend in the east, then they do a 180 and head the other way. The Bulls have a lot of veterans and tend to be the more consistant team.

I like your Ball State play as well. Just a shame what happened to Eastern after Medlock went down. No loss anywhere was as large as his to the Eagles. Ball State, while short on talent is scrappy and should be right there.

100% agreement with you on this. Miami has always been a thorn in the Zips side. Miami has that ugly way of playing that usually takes the Zips out of their game add into that the fact the Zips backcourt is young and the big guys from Akron havent shown much at all this year. Bardo, Conyers, the McKnight brothers in my opinion just cant get it done.

Btw Spang has Bramos and Pollitz been there for 10 years?

Just heard from the Poliitz family about a week ago. Both Tim and Eric completed their degrees but Eric had another year of eligibility. He is working on a second degree while finishing up his playing career. Great kids, great family.

I met Tim and Erics Dad at the Jar 3 years ago and he seems like a really good christian guy UNTIL a call goes against Miami. He can rise off of his seat and give it to the refs with the best of them.

He's almost as entertaining as the game.

BTW BG, what happened to Tim ? I would assume he is playing in Europe or somewhere, he's certainly good enough to play over there. Pound for pound he was as good and as tough as anybody I've seen in this league dating back to the days of Wally and Bonzi.

I dont think Pollitz is playing, but if he wants to I have a coach in spain looking for a big man to play for 3, maybe 4 months :0corn

Good Luck Spang!! I love the new Avatar.

Is that Cie Grant?

Toledo does suck, but its nice to have a new coach to complain about! :mj07: Hey, at least they beat Umass, but they needed an extra player or two on the floor the other night to guard URI.

Never sure what to make of BGSU either.

You are right about Pastor Pollitz. In high school the district had dad keep the book so he couldn't rip on the refs too much. He bit through a couple of pencils per game.

Tim is working in Columbus selling and marketing sporting equipment. Both boys have also talked about pursuing youth ministry.

Thanks Dave, it sounds like he has other priorities and that is probably a good thing in the long run.
Air, he would be very good over there, I know recent former Zips Dials and Wood were both playing overseas and playing very well.

Spang a lot of players from the MAC do quite well over there. Haminn Quaintance is in a very good league in Israel, I remember trying to get him to go to Spain but Israel is like the NBA over there.

Whats your feeling about Ill Chi/Cle St? Thanks

Lean to CSU but the Flames do have some talent.
They have the big 7' kid Vandemeer underneath and Josh Mayo who can score from the backcourt but is a bit of a loose cannon. Vikings are better defending and Bullock who can do it all.

If CSU plays their best game they will win and cover.

The flashes could sure use him back in uniform. This kent team lacks toughness and his absence is the biggest reason why.

I wonder what kind of coin those guys make and how it relates to their living expenses over there.Sounds like you may know.
