I stopped having write-ups because some other guy at another site claims to be the "MAC-DADDY" and just copied my stuff....
Buttt, I think Akrons win this because..
After the BG game, Akron went straight to Oxford to get ready for the Miami game. Now I know that Akron stinks on the road, but Akron has soem great talent. There wont be a real size threat here like BG had against Akron...and even then Akron still played BG tough and kept Kevin Netter in check which is awfully tough to do. With the fact that there is no size advantage, that means this will be a game of the guards....advantage --> AKRON. Derrick Tarver and Johnny Hollingsworth have been OVERachieving this year. Despite there record, these 2 guards are true ballers and will break down Charlie Coles defensive scheme.
Derrick Tarver, who scores a league-best 23.9 ppg and ranks sixth nationally in scoring, paces Akron. In conference action, Tarver is pouring in an impressive 31.5 ppg. John Hollingsworth follows, averaging 19.8 ppg on the season and 20.8 ppg in league play, while Darryl Peterson notches 14.1 ppg. Hollingsworth also averages 2.7 steals per game, which ranks 21st nationally.
Plus 6-6 So. Forward Tim Schenke, a big man off the bench, is out for the game tonight due to a badly injuried ankle.
I honestly think that Miami wont be able to handle these 2 guards - they are fast, smart, and can shoot very well. If you watched the Akron/BG game on Fox Sports Ohio/Cincy, then you`d really see why these 2 guards are the real deal...
Good Luck bro
