new to the forum and i must say you certainly know the mac and i saw these numbers last night and they jumped out at me for the dogs...but im a little shaky on buffalo..i have been doing quite well betting against them....these games are at the higher seeds home court correct not a neutral site?

I'm looking at the NIU/Marshall game. The Huskies had a tough 1 pt loss in Kalamazoo on Saturday and now have to travel to Marshall on one day rest. They did play well there earlier in the season (a covering loss) but this isn't a real easy turnaround.

First off let me say I have much respect for your MAC selections but think you are way off on 1, I just can't see anything that would make you like CMich. they are 1-11 ATS on the road and Ohio is the 2nd best team in the MAC in my opinion I wrote down all teh reasons to take Ohio and all teh reasons to take C Mich and I filled up a whole page on Ohio and only 2 lines on C Mich I know most conference games are close but most are on neutral courts while thte MAC games are at home really like all of the dogs in teh MAC except C Mich really would like to know your reasoning behind it becausre Ohio is the far more superior team statisticaly and has been a very good home cover team, while C Mich has not covered a conference game this year.

I understand what your saying Irish...but I have been going to these MAC tounry games for years and if there is one thing I know, these games are always close. These players play with a sense of urgency knowing that the season can continue. Upsets happen everyday....Central Michigan was favored to win the MAC for a reason. Obviously they have failed to show that but everybody has tournament right in the back of their heads. If there is one thing I learned in the MAC...its being number 1 doesnt mean anything...a la Kent St. I cant see any of these teams winning by double digits tonight.

Iam not basing my picks on ATS records and all that...its about urgency, everbody knows that this is your last game...your either in or your out. We shall see the best of David Webber tonight my friend.....

In the MAC tourney from 1998 - 2000, dogs were 21 of 27 ATS.

Last year was an exception: favs were 8 - 4 and 4 of 5 ATS in the opening round.

Hellah -- I think you'll hit 3 of your 4. Since I don't know which one you won't hit, I'm taking all four, and NIU on the ML.

Well I just got back from the Toledo game, and let me tell you this, if you honestly think that games are not fixed; you are dumbass...plain and simple. Ok so I get there and Eastern is down 2 points, no big deal right. Well get this shit...the ref called Eastern for a carry...THREE FAWKING TIMES IN A ROW!!! A CARRY!! You gotta be shittin me...first of all this is the tournament you dont call dumb shit like that. I watched Nick Moore and Terry Reynolds carry the ball all night long tonight. Eastern got 8 fould in the matter of 9 minutes into the game!!! Half the fouls werent even fouls. Ok anywaysss....Eastern is down 12 at the half but they come out storming in the 2nd half...they make a few buckets and now they are down 10. Eastern has a lot of momentum going for themselves....the PG has the ball dribbling on the top of the key back and forth and he nailed a 3...down 7 now. But guess what....the ref called a charge!! How the fawk is it a charge on the shooter of all things when he didnt even touch the defender. Also...I ref high school on the side and let me tell you a little something about 3 man reffing. the ref under the basket on makes calls in the paint...anything outside that is not his responsibilty....the ref on the left makes calls at his wing and the ref on the right makes calls at his wing. Anyways...the guy under the basket made the charging call!!! Are you kidding me...thats not even his fawking area. Anyways...that takes away the 3 point shot. The coach for Eastern runs out to the court and gets in this refs face...i mean RIGHT in his face...he was ready to fawking kill him...the players and other coaches had to hold him back...The ref threw a technical....the caoch went out there and started cussin him out badly...and the ref threw him ANOTHER technical...so the coached got thrown out of the game!!! And that my friends was the turning point of the game. These refs clearly had there thoughts on Toledo. Iam serious this game was not called fair AT ALL! 3 fawking carries?! A charge on the shooter and the ref under the basket made the cal!?!?!? Give me a break....Ive been reffing since I was in the Army, and I know that the ref under the basket shouldnt even be looking at the perimeter...that Eastern coach had every single reason to go insane.

My dog theory is pretty good though...Buffalo decided to not shoot at the last second and just held the ball at half court and threw up a prayer(from what I heard on the radio).

I still cant believe the bullshit I just saw tonight......

Iam still taking every dog through out this tourny...Toledo plays Central on Thursday...that will be a good game.

So i went 3-2 tonight...well actually I went 2-2 I didnt post my Akron play..I forgot but oh well...still cant believe that shit at Toledo...

thanks for the post and info, sounds like quite a game to see in person when that shit breaks out. i go to a lot of UT games here and i can tell you the exact same thing(as dr freeze always posts as well)-- i always have to factor home court and homer refs in big 12 play--i have just seen too many games that are not called consistently, what is a foul on the visitors is maybe a foul on the home team--i honestly believe some of those guys think they are scoring a TD when they get to run up the court, calling a charge on the visiting team as the home crowd roars in celebration- good to see you still had a + night overall, later
