Have been a proud PC owner for years.
However, recently purchased a MacBook-the low end model (about 1000).
I must say that i am unbeleivably satisfied.
Bought it orignally becuase you could run windows on the machine, and since i beleive that mac makes superior hardware, i went for it

but after running macos, i didnt even bother putting windows on my computer and i havent looked back since.
i have recommended a macbook to all my buddies and am here to do it to you as well.

not to mention that apple seems to be the company on the up (see introduction of new iPhone and iTV) while competetors are playing catchup.

interested to hear any opinions from those of yall out there who have feelings on the subject.

as of right now, i am SOLD on mac-tell me why I am wrong

(i will concede that many programs will only run on windows, but i think that will change due to increase in demand for mac software-other than that, the question above still stands)

I may be totally wrong, but those who play poker here would not want a Mac because I don't think many of the programs run on them?

Other than that, I cant really disagree with anything you said.

Mac user here for over 17 years now and have always been impressed by what Steve Jobs comes up with to top off the last computer or hardware.

I joined a firm of 150 employees all with PC's about 3 years ago and as part of my negotiations upon joing this company I asked for a new Mac with all the latest software/hardware and although they were hesitant at first because they thought it may not work with their network they agreed. Since then since everythings been running smooth there's about 20 people that have converted to Mac and are very happy with their production. :toast:

You are completly right. Thats one of the things i was talking about with the lack of software coverage provided by a mac.

but i think that poker software will come along because of demand (bodog service claims to be releasing a product for Mac "in the very near future" according to someone I talked to on the phone).

So, yes, internet poker players would not want one as of now
Hopefully, the lack of poker will change soon-if they are smart enough to see the market share they are missing out on. :com:

Bodog's claim of releasing a mac product for playing poker online is hogwash. Any time they say "in the near future" :liar: that tells you that's their excuse for a quick out now and they probably have no plans to do anything about it. They been saying that for many many "near futures".

Besides, there's a few programs that let you run PC software on a mac. Citrix is one that I know of.

I have used mac's for over 16 years and love them.
Just remember you don't need to worry about getting a virus either.Doesn't happen.
