Top-seeded Central Michigan play fourth-seeded Northern Illinois tonight in a Mid-American Conference Championship semi-final.

The Chippewas are 22-6 SU, 18-6 ATS and had a 3 game buffer in winning the MAC regular season championship. They have won 10 of their last 11 SU with their only loss being by just one point when they suffered a let down as 10 point favorite's hosting Akron. They have been an excellent cover team all season including 10-2 recently. Last night they easily took care of Bowling Green 87-70 as MAC Player of the Year Chris Kaman poured in 25 points and ripped down 14 rebounds. The 7 foot junior center is averaging a double-double this season.

The Huskies are 17-13 SU and 17-10-1 ATS overall. Last night PJ Smith led them to a 75-63 win over Western Michigan. The junior guard came into the tournament averaging 14 ppg but has exploded for game-highs of 33 points last night and 22 points in their first round win over Buffalo.

Central Michigan won both regular season meetings betweens these teams...at home by 16 points and at Northern Illinois by 12....and tonight we we'll take Chippewas to get the win and cover as they advance to the final.
