Hellah-

How bout them Huskies? NIU dominated Wisky; a huge edge in both yardage and first downs. If it wasn't for the minus 3 in turnover differential, NIU probably wins easily. Western Michigan also gave Purdue all they could handle.

The Huskies really really really surprised me. Without all the star players - Novak kept that team together, I was pleased and impressed with what I saw. If it wasnt for the refs(big 10 refs that is) NIU woulda won that game. I hope Vegas keeps on giving us these huge MAC dogs :D

honolulu, Hi, USA
Hellah 10 - Am liking the Bowling Green over Kansas. This team manhandled a good Missouri team. Looks like they are for real and will be strong contenders for the MAC title. Am I correct or am I off base? What's your take on them? Also, what game is shaping up as your strongest play? Thanx.

ksyas - Yes my fault....they do indeed play on Friday.

gridman - Bowling Green impressed me so much. They did something that I never thought they would do...and do it well...they ran that ball so many times. I knew before that Josh Harris was awesome...but with a backfield - he`s even more powerful. BG has very talented recievers especially Robert Redd. The defense is STILL the weak link, they let Brad Smith pile up some monster numbers. 28-50 334 yards

BG was in 3rd and long I think 5 or 6 times that game...and they converted on all of them!! so they can convert the 3rd and longs and can pass and more importantly RUN the ball.

Contenders for the MAC? Not so fast my friend. BG has to go through Toledo before BG buys plan tickets to Hunington, WV. Toledo hasnt lost a home game in 2.5 years...we dont intend to let up either. If Toledo keeps playing like they are....They could repeat as MAC Champions. So the final game of the season - BG/Toledo at Toledo will more then likely be cruicial game to go to West Virginia.

mw - Clemson is very dangerous. They have a mobile QB almost like BGs Josh Harris...cannon arm and can tuck that ball and run it. Ball St. is yet to impress me this year. I thought they would be a dark horse in the MAC. QB Talmadge has been doing very very well this season. HE has completed 35 of 46 passes for 75% HE has thrown for 276 yards with no INTs in 2 games this season. In his last 3 games Hill has completed 49-70 passes for 70% mark for 560 yards with NO INTs and 3 TDs. Hill completed 15-20 passes for 126 yards with no INTs at Mizzou, and then 20-26 for 150 yards with NO INTs last Saturday. So he`s a VERY smart QB...makes wise decisions and burned my Rockets last fall

On the other hand...Ball St. has one of the best running backs in the MAC....Marcus Merriweather. He rushed for 146 yards and 3 TDs against Indy St. after gaining 115 yards on 26 carries at Mizzou. Last saturday was his 13th 100 yard game in his career. He runs like bull - kinda like Corey Dillion...he will take you on.

Defensively - they are hurting...

TCSN - yes those are my plays.

The thing about Marshall that got my attention. Leftwich threw for over 400 yrds vs V Th. V TH got the win rushing the ball. So if Central Fld does not rush ball well looks to be a good play on Marshall.

I like most of the MAC plays that you listed, but I am a little leery of EMU. I think Akron is a better team than EMU and Maryland handled them pretty easily. I was under the impression that EMU's program was on the way up, but between them, Akron and BSU I dont know which one I have been most disappointed in.

djv after watching UCF play Penn St and ASU....UCF doesnt have much success running the ball. they ran the ball 31 times against penn st and only got 65 yards. 6 of those 31 carries were reveres' I think. Against ASU they only got 37 yards on the ground. Now I know Marshalls rush D is terrible...but I mean comee on its not THAT bad. UCF running backs dont have the strength of Lee Suggs nor the speed of Kevin Jones...its like night and day. UCF will try to exploit the secondary. Now if there is a strong side to Marshalls' D - its the secondary. Now Doug Gabriel is an AWESOME WR and will get his numbers - he reminds me alot of Terrel Owens - especailly with his mouth. I can tell from the Marshall fans at least, that the Va Tech game is behind them and now conference play begins. Marshall realizes that the MAC is no cupcake and they must face UCF - Miami - Kent St and Central Michigan. And I know your thinking yeaa okayy Kent St and Central Michigan. Well if you dont know who Josh Cribbs is...well you better ask somebody!

I think Marshall wins this in a big way. 2 reasons besides the obvious numbers :

1) At Hunington <~~ place is a bitch. Ive been to Purdue, Michigan, Ohio St, Florida St games....and I can tell you that the 35000 fans in Hunington sound like Michigans fans. Ohio St dont get that loud nor does Purdue...but Florida St in my experience blows them all away. The fans at Marshall are crazy ass drunks - and they are loyal as loyal can be.

2) A month ago CBS.Sportsline.com had an article on UCF saying how they will clean house in the "cheesy MAC" and how they were gonna go into Hunington 2-0. Well my friends...they are 0-2 and must face the power of Lord Byron. Marshall has allready said that they are gonna give them a warm welcome to the MAC.

Master Capper Iam taking a pretty big risk on EMU but they are better then what the scores say. They have a great running game. What has hurt them so far this season is turnovers. Toledo would of never covered that game if it wasnt for turnovers. And it isnt like they are turning it over at midfield...ITS IN THE REDZONE!! They arent a bad team...I mean hell, when they played Michigan St. I think the first 4 possessions for MSU were turnover, punt punt and punt. But the D is on the field to long and die :( Maryland is a one year wonder like most said and if EMU doesnt turn the ball over 6 times they have a great shot at covering

Sorry folks but I will not be having a write-up for any of my games for this week. The transistors on my motherboard fried and now if I want to use the net I must come to the Univeristy. Which I dont mine especially right now because if the fine ladies surrounding me in this lab.....yay I love this lab....so many bioengineers, all girls too  go figure. if I ever grew the balls to walk up to this girl and ask her if she wants to come with me to get a drink, I wouldnt be here!! :( oh well...maybe I`ll go 6-0 in the MAC this weekend and actually win a middle and my confiedence level will go through the roof.

Good Luck everybody

OHHHHH BY THE WAY!! For those playing Ball St. and wondering why they struggled against Indiana St....read this. This is from a reliable source!!!!

From optimus prime at bsufans.com

Not gonna mention names here - Im not looking to get anyone into trouble ... BUT, my source (we'll call him/her "Deep Throat") told me something on gameday that really troubled me...And yes, Deep Throat's credibility is high-caliber.

Deep Throat told me that on Friday night, he/she attended a party with serveral (around 20) football players and did not leave said party until 4 AM. When Deep Throat left the party, about 10 players were still there drinking and of those 10 players, about five were starters ...

4 AM the night before the game? No wonder the score was so close - we're lucky we didnt get beat. Where's the discipline? @#$@, even on my high school team if so much as a rumor floated by coach newsome that you broke curfew, you didn't start. period.

23-21, I consider the team lucky.

Let's hope those players don't party their way out of a West Division Championship.

This girl is driving me nuts...I should just get up and talk to her. The last 20 minutes she has been trying to figure out something on her homework. Damn I wish I was a bioengineer major - that way I would have some reason to go up to her and help her.

Well I have nothing to loose....Iam going into the frey!! Wish me luck :D

Hopefully in an hour I`ll be buying her one of these :drinky: at Maxwells

Geeez I have a better chance hitting a 10 team parlay then getting with her. Was interesting though....she did manage to talk to me and I did manage to get her number. She says she lives on campus...but this doesnt seem like a campus number. First 3 are 691...691 is like 20 minutes east of campus....Campus numbers start with 531 or 539 or 534. She says she has class at 5 so she wont be able to get a drink...but she would like to meet me up at the UNLV game on Satruday.

If you ask me...Iam walking into a trap....she seemed soo shady. If I get hosed - Iam gonna be pretty pissed off. Whats the deal with girls doing this...what did I do wrong to her. Oh well...I guess I deserve it, Iam sure I did something bad :nooo: :(
