I'm looking at NIU also. They've played well lately; only negative is they are coming off 2 straight OT wins so I wonder how much is left in the tank. On the positive side, this seems like a lot of pts for a Ball State team, minus its best player, to be laying on the road. Ball State probably will be overvalued all year, due to those wins over Kansas and UCLA at the very start of the season.

Xerri--

Thanks for the heads up. I looked it up; they didn't even slowly work him back in. 30 minutes, 19 pts. I guess he only missed a couple games. This has become a tough call. Maybe at 9.5 NIU becomes a play.

Its interesting the money is definitely coming in on Northern Ill here. Down to 6, and actually hit 5.5 briefly on Canbet. I wonder if Jackson aggravated his finger injury by playing last weekend.

What makes Northern such a good team is there aggresive play. These guys go for every single rebound. I have watched them play 5 times this year and they hit the boards HARD! I wouldnt be surprised if Northern leaves Muncie, Indiana with a win. Northern has some big ballers on there team that played on the streets of Chicago....half there team is from Chicago....maybe thats why they are so aggressive.

As far as Akron...I think Marshall has a TON of confidence now that they beat Ball St.....VanHoose is on the right track...and the team with the most talent in the MAC, is finally showing there talent. I still think they are the shittest coached team in the MAC still....

GL!!

NIU tries to recruit the same kids as Illinois but its tough. Sean Harrington and Marcus Smallwood both played on the same HS team but Harrington was higher regarded so Illinois got him and Smallwood ended up at NIU. Kenny Battle from the 1989 Illinois Final 4 team actually played his freshman and sophomore years at Northern but bolted for the bigger stage of Champaign. We did almost beat U of I in football this year, and more importantly, we covered.

Excellent....Marshall prevailed, didnt think they would cover and just blow the lead like they have been all season long.....they still suck IMO
